EA FC 25’s Platform Availability
For now, EA FC is still available on last-gen consoles. However, don’t be surprised if this is the last version playable on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
EA FC 25 will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch
EA FC 25’s New Game Modes
The only mode I would describe as new in EA FC 25 is the Rush mode. Don’t take that to mean it’s a light entry. The introduction of this new 5v5, fast-paced replacement for Volta, could significantly impact this version’s success.
Rush has been incorporated in every mode across the game, including career mode and kick-off. The matches are seven minutes long with no halftime. Each match begins with a race to the ball to earn first possession.
Everywhere Rush is incorporated, relevant rewards are attached based on the mode. It’s an intelligent concept and pivot from Volta that grew stale with users.
EA FC 25’s FC IQ
Every year, one of the biggest complaints and frustrations from users is related to the behavior of AI-controlled teammates. FC IQ is the newest branded technology EA uses to improve this aspect of gameplay.
You won’t know if this improves the experience until you’ve played the game. However, at least some effort is being made to tweak the behaviors of your teammates in the ultimate team sport.
EA FC 25’s Career Mode Enhancements
The career mode will feature live start points that allow users to pick up their experience at any point during the real-life football season. For the first time, career mode includes women’s football and the ability to take legends like David Beckham through the journey.
EA FC 25’s Gameplay Enhancements
In EA FC 24, the series introduced Playstyles. This year, the concept is expanded with six new archetypes exclusively for goalkeepers. Playstyles like Deflector, Far Throw, and Rush Out will help differentiate the top keepers in the game. These designations will be critical in Ultimate Team when users evaluate which players to use in their lineups.
EA FC 25 also introduces new skill moves that are primarily useful to the more advanced players. Big Feint, Drag Turn, Heel Nutmeg, Step Over Ball
and Toe Drag Stepover may be the newest tactics used by streamers clowning their competition.
EA FC 25’s Ultimate Team Updates
There are multiple additions to FUT, but the biggest is Evolution cards. In a nutshell, users can take a Gold card, and through gameplay and challenge completions, you can upgrade the player to a 99-overall card.
That change could massively impact the way users value cards. We’ll have to see how attainable the benchmarks are to qualify for the next levels of evolution, but it’s a promising addition, and it could pique the interest of no-money-spent players.
Also, look for Rush to make the most significant impact in FUT of all the modes in the game. It’s designed perfectly to grab your five best players to compete or work exclusively on evolving a card.
EA FC 25’s New and Reworked Stadiums
The new version includes more than 120 real football stadiums, including new additions like Buenos Aires’ Mâs Monumental (Club Atlético River Plate), Rotterdam’s De Kuip (Feyenoord), Lisbon’s Estádio José Alvalade (Sporting CP), Istanbul’s RAMS Park (Galatasaray), and Ülker Stadyumu (Fenerbahçe S.K).
Some of the older stadiums in the game have been updated based on recent reconstructions. The reworked stadiums include Real Madrid’s Estadio Santiago Bernabéu, Villarreal CF’s Estadio de la Cerámica, and Frankfurt’s Deutsche Bank Park.
Villarreal CF’s Estadio de la Cerámica also receives significant updates, including a distinctive new roof. The authenticity here will help augment EA FC’s already solid visual presentation and immersion.
EA FC’s 25 HyperMotionV Technology: How it Should Work
HyperMotionV comes off as another buzzword used to amplify the work done behind the scenes to improve gameplay. Whether the overall concept is effective remains to be seen, but ideally, it should impact the game in the following ways.
Real-world volumetric data from elite clubs and players has been incorporated to enhance the animations. The tech has included data from more than 1,800 players, including 200 new female athletes, to improve the realism in gameplay across the board.
HyperV is also designed to work with FC IQ to match the appropriate animations with Playstyles and situations. Ideally, with smarter AI-controlled players and more realistic animations attached for as many situations as possible, HyperV would make the beautiful game as pretty as possible for EA FC users.
