Taylor Sheridan’s big-oil drama Landman is back for another high-stakes run. The premiere episode began streaming on Sunday, Nov. 16, but when will new episodes be released on Paramount+?
Landman is set in the 21st-century boomtowns of West Texas and follows “a modern tale of fortune-seeking among roughnecks and billionaires in the world of oil,” according to the official logline. The gritty series is based on Texas Monthly’s 11-episode podcast series Boomtown, hosted by journalist Christian Wallace, who also serves as a co-creator on the show.
When viewers last tuned into Landman, the Season 1 finale ended with the shocking death of M-Tex Oil founder Monty Miller (Jon Hamm) from a heart attack. Tommy Norris (Billy Bob Thornton), the corporation’s jack-of-all-trades, steps in to take the reins. In Season 2, Monty’s wife, Cami (Demi Moore), joins him in leading the company, a transition that won’t be easy for either of them at first.
“I think, at the beginning, [Tommy] really is her guide and anchor,” Moore said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly in September 2025. “In the opening, you really see that I’m kind of a lamb being thrown into the lion’s den [and] really having to have a real show of strength. And I think Cami is having to operate a little bit out of the fake it till you make it [mentality].”
Meanwhile, Thornton hinted that the second installment of theseries will be more of a “slow burn” compared to the first season. “Now that the audience knows all the characters, Taylor was able to really dive into the relationships more,” he explained to EW. “Last season, we had to explain what this business was all about and who the people are.”
The actor added, “This season, he was able to really focus in the first few episodes on the family dynamic and the business dynamic. But this one really ramps up as it goes on, and there’s more and more intensity.”

When Do New Episodes Of Landman Season 2 Come Out?
New episodes of Landman Season 2 are released every Sunday on Paramount+. The next episode, titled “Sins of the Father” drops Sunday, Nov. 23, at 3 a.m. ET / midnight PT.
How Many Episodes Are In Landman Season 2?
The second season of Landman will have 10 episodes, the same count as Season 1.
In December 2024, Landman became the most-watched Paramount+ original series of all time after it was viewed by 14.9 million global households within its first four weeks, according to Paramount+. Following Landman were other Sheridan-helmed projects, including 1923, Tulsa King, Lioness and 1883. Both 1923 and 1883 are prequels set within the Yellowstone universe.
