Scream 7, starring Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox and David Arquette, is new in theaters. How soon will it be available to stream at home?
The seventh installment in the Scream movie franchise that began in 1996 opens in theaters nationwide on Friday. The official summary for the movie reads, “The official synopsis for the film reads, “When a new Ghostface killer emerges in the quiet town where Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) has built a new life, her darkest fears are realized as her daughter (Isabel May) becomes the next target.”
“Determined to protect her family, Sidney must face the horrors of her past to put an end to the bloodshed once and for all.”
Directed and co-written by Kevin Williamson, Scream 7 also stars Isabel May, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding, Anna Camp, Roger L. Jackson, Michelle Randolph, Jimmy Tatro, Mckenna Grace, Asa Germann, Celeste O’Connor, Sam Rechner, Ethan Embry, Mark Consuelos, Tim Simons, Matthew Lillard and Joel McHale.
Currently, the only place you can see Scream 7 is in theaters, so check your local listings for showtimes.
When Scream 7 comes to the home entertainment marketplace, the first place it will be available will be on digital streaming via premium video on demand. Generally, Scream 7’s studio, Paramount Pictures, has about a one-month window between the time the studio releases its films in theaters and the day they arrive on PVOD.
For example, the studio’s reboot of the action comedy The Naked Gun debuted on PVOD on Sept. 2, 2025, just over a month after it opened in theaters on Aug. 1, 2025. More recently, Paramount Pictures’ action thriller The Running Man premiered in theaters on Nov. 14, 2025, and arrived on PVOD just over a month later, on Dec. 16, 2025.
Should Scream 7 follow the same release pattern, the film should arrive on PVOD sometime around March 31, since new films are generally released on digital on Tuesdays.
When Scream 7 arrives on PVOD, it will be available to purchase for anywhere from $19.99 and $29.99 or $14.99 to $24 to rent for 48 hours.
Which Streaming Service Will Get ‘Scream 7’ First?
Since Scream 7 is a Paramount Pictures release, the film’s Pay-1 Window for streaming video on demand will first be available to the Paramount+ subscription platform.
Generally, it takes about two months from the time Paramount’s films open in theaters to the day they arrive on Paramount+. For example, The Naked Gun debuted on Paramount+ on Sept. 30, 2025, nearly two months after it opened in theaters on Aug. 1, 2025.
More recently, The Running Man arrived on Paramount+ on Jan. 13, just under two months after the film premiered in theaters on Nov. 14, 2025.
Should Scream 7 follow the same release pattern as The Naked Gun and The Running Man, the film should arrive on Paramount+ on April 28, since new films tend to debut on the platform on Tuesdays.
Rated R, Scream 7 opens in theaters nationwide on Friday.
