Ariana Grande rules the Billboard Hot 100 this week as her new single “Hate That I Made You Love Me” debuts at No. 1. The track is not just another smash for the pop superstar, but a milestone win on the most competitive songs tally in America. As Grande returns to the summit and kicks off the promotional campaign for her upcoming album Petal in grand style, she matches several other celebrated hitmakers and joins one of the most exclusive clubs in chart history.

Ariana Grande Scores Her Tenth No. 1

“Hate That I Made You Love Me” marks Grande’s tenth visit to the Billboard Hot 100’s throne. Impressively, she has accrued double-digit champions in under a decade.

Grande first topped the Billboard Hot 100 in November 2018, when “Thank U, Next,” the title track from the album of the same name, launched at the summit. Since then, each and every one of her albums has produced at least one leader, and multiple collaborations with other artists have also easily conquered the rundown.

Here are all of Ariana Grande’s No. 1s on the Billboard Hot 100.

  • “7 Rings”
  • “Die for You” with The Weeknd
  • “Hate That I Made You Love Me”
  • “Positions”
  • “Rain on Me” with Lady Gaga
  • “Save Your Tears” with The Weeknd
  • “Stuck with U” with Justin Bieber
  • “Thank U, Next”
  • “We Can’t Be Friends (Wait for Your Love)”
  • “Yes, And?”

Ariana Grande Joins Bruno Mars with 10 Chart-Toppers

Billboard reports that Grande is now just the thirteenth artist to snag 10 No. 1s or more on the Billboard Hot 100. She’s currently tied with Janet Jackson, Stevie Wonder and Bruno Mars, and the four acts jointly claim the tenth-most leaders of all time.

While neither Jackson nor Wonder have added to their list of rulers in decades, Mars reached 10 No. 1s only a few months ago. “I Just Might,” the first single from his then-upcoming album The Romantic, opened as high as a tune can climb on the Billboard Hot 100 in January. It became another multi-week winner for the multigenre superstar, as it commanded the tally for three frames.

Ariana Grande Could Pass Janet Jackson Soon

Grande’s last album, 2024’s Eternal Sunshine, saw both of its earliest two singles, “Yes, And?” as well as “We Can’t Be Friends (Wait for Your Love),” debut at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. If the singer and actress can manage that feat again – or simply push another track to the top spot as she promotes Petal – she will break her tie with Jackson, Mars and Wonder, and advance again.

Next up for her to match will be Whitney Houston, who claimed 11 leaders. Madonna and the Supremes are tied with 12 rulers apiece. Michael Jackson is steady with his lucky 13, and Drake, Rihanna and Taylor Swift sit side-by-side-by-side with 14 No. 1s apiece on the Billboard Hot 100.

The Beatles continue to rule the all-time roster with an even 20 No. 1 songs. Mariah Carey is only missing one more chart-topper before she ties the biggest band of all time.

Ariana Grande Replaces Drake at No. 1

There’s been a lot of change on this historic rundown in 2026. Mars joined the 10 No. 1s club, and both Drake and Swift have added to their totals as well.

Drake is replaced at the Billboard Hot 100’s summit this week as his “Janice STFU” steps aside after two weeks on top, making way for “Hate That I Made You Love Me.” Swift sent “Opalite,” a single from her The Life of a Showgirl album, to the peak position this spring.

Swift may score a milestone fifteenth leader in only a matter of days, and could potentially kick Grande out of the penthouse. Swift’s “I Knew It, I Knew You,” written and recorded for Toy Story 5, was released just a few days ago, and appears to be poised for a lofty debut on the chart – perhaps even a No. 1 opening.
