The Weeknd regularly sees his albums appear on the Official Hip Hop and R&B Albums ranking, and this week he scores a trio of bestsellers in the U.K. All of those collections return to the roster, helping him become one of the most successful acts on the tally at the moment.
Three Albums by The Weeknd Return Together
A trio of full-lengths by The Weeknd – Hurry Up Tomorrow, The Highlights, and Starboy – make their way back to the Official Hip Hop and R&B Albums chart this week. Those projects reenter the genre-specific rundown at Nos. 27, 37, and 40, respectively, on the 40-space register.
The Weeknd’s Three Albums Recently Disappeared
All three of those titles by The Weeknd have only recently fallen off the Official Hip Hop and R&B Albums chart. The Highlights disappeared in late June, while both Hurry Up Tomorrow and Starboy slipped from the ranking earlier this month, on the tally dated July 2.
Hurry Up Tomorrow Matches Trilogy’s Chart Run
As it returns, Hurry Up Tomorrow ties as The Weeknd’s sixth-longest-charting effort on the Official Hip Hop and R&B Albums roster. As of this period, the superstar’s latest set, which arrived in January 2025, has spent 64 weeks on the tally. That’s exactly as long as Trilogy, which marked his first entry back in November 2012.
Starboy extends its lead as the Canadian talent’s longest-charting project, and it is now up to 305 frames on the genre-focused rundown. The Highlights, which only a short time ago cracked 200 periods on the register, has accrued 205 weeks, making it his third-longest-running win. After Hours is sandwiched in between Starboy and The Highlights, with 271 stints on the list to its credit.
The Weeknd Has Scored Eight No. 1 Albums
Since first hitting the Official Hip Hop and R&B Albums chart nearly a decade and a half ago, 12 projects by The Weeknd have appeared on the roster. Eight of those sets have spent at least one frame at No. 1, and most have conquered the tally multiple times.
Trilogy missed out on becoming The Weeknd’s first leader when it peaked at No. 2. Three other collections – House of Balloons, Thursday, and Echoes of Silence – missed the top 10 entirely, topping out at Nos. 12, 16, and 21, respectively.

Among his three releases that mount comebacks on the Official Hip Hop and R&B Albums chart, only one, The Highlights, can also be found on any additional ranking across the Atlantic this frame. The compilation, which was released as the Grammy winner headlined the Super Bowl halftime show several years ago, holds inside the top 10, dipping from No. 7 to tenth place on the Official Albums Streaming chart. At the same time, it is comfortable just beneath that tier on the Official Albums list, which is built using both sales and streaming data and where it holds at No. 11.
The Weeknd Claims Two Bestselling Hits in the U.K.
The Weeknd claims two slots on the Official Hip Hop and R&B Singles chart, though both tracks that sell well enough to land on the list would probably be classified using different genre terms by most fans. Electronic dance-pop-leaning cuts “Save Your Tears” is a non-mover at No. 14, while “Blinding Lights” drops one peg to No. 27.
