German luxury brand Loewe has taken the wraps off a new series of OLED TVs intended to offer fans of its consistently beautifully designed TVs a more affordable OLED option than the current flagship Stellar range.

The Antares series is available now in the UK and Europe in 42, 48, 55 and 65-inch screen sizes, at prices ranging from £2,500/€2,00 for the 42-inch up to £4,000/€4,000 for the 65 inch. Despite their relative affordability by Loewe OLED TV standards, they still offer plenty of the premium design solutions that have become Loewe’s trade mark.

For instance, their minimalistic core frames can be fitted with optional black or silver aluminium overlays, and they can be fitted into your room using a variety of different mounting options. Including Loewe’s renowned floor to ceiling pole mount, various wall mount solutions, and multiple rotating floor stand possibilities – some of which are fully motorised, so the screens’ viewing angle can be adjusted via remote control.

Loewe claims the Antares TVs offer premium picture quality to go wth their premium design. Each OLED module is engineered and tailored by Loewe itself, for instance, as well as being individually calibrated before leaving Loewe’s factory in Kronach, Germany. A level of in-house control designed to ensure a high level of colour accuracy and contrast right out of the box.

Loewe also claims advanced image processing for its new TVs, as well as support for Dolby Vision HDR and HDR10+, with their extra scene by scene image data, on top of the basic HDR10 and HLG HDR formats.

The Antares range also supports 144Hz gaming feeds with variable refresh rate support over HDMI, as well as auto low latency mode switching so the TV will automatically switch into its fastest responding picture preset whenever a game source is detected.

Loewe’s reputation for offering lots of optional extras for its TVs extends, meanwhile, to the Antares TVs’ audio systems. They carry built-in “invisible” speakers for out-of-the-box audio, but they can also be combined with a new optional £300/€300 Antares soundbar that offers 80W of front-firing stereo sound for a more powerful and immersive sound experience. Or if you really want to push the full surround sound boat out, the Antares can easily be partnered with one of Loewe’s gorgeous and great-sounding external audio solutions.

In fact, the Antares TVs can even turn their hand to becoming the center speaker in a wider external surround sound system. Essentially you can keep upgrading your Antares TV’s design and capabilities a step at a time, as finances allow.

Smart features on the Loewe Antares TVs come courtesy of Loewe os9, which claims to integrate all the world’s key streaming platforms, including Disney+, Netflix, Prime Video, Apple TV, YouTube, Spotify and many more besides. The sets also carry Lowe’s dual channel platform, enabling recording to USB storage devices and easy timeshifting.

“With Antares, we are introducing the most individual Smart TV Loewe has ever created,” says Aslan Khabliev, Loewe CEO. “For decades, Loewe has been synonymous with design, innovation and individuality. Loewe Antares takes that philosophy further than ever before, combining exceptional picture quality, intelligent technology and unprecedented freedom of choice in one beautifully crafted product.”
