The Young Bucks beat Jon Moxley and Will Ospreay in tag team action. The Death Riders’ varying killer instincts—in addition to a crucial mistake—cost them the match.

In one of the few definable storylines on AEW television, inevitable AEW world champion Will Ospreay has been converted to a Death Rider by Jon Moxley, a no-nonsense heel intent on bringing out the best (and worst) in Will Ospreay. This was similar to his tough-love mission statement with the entire AEW brand, which ended in Hangman Adam Page’s win over Moxley at AEW All In 2025. The storyline is also similar to Ospreay’s “can they coexist” story with Kenny Omega. Fittingly the match saw a miscue where Ospreay accidentally took out Mox with a flying forearm.

The story of the match was Nick Jackson suffering a (kayfabe) head injury early in the match, only for Moxley to encourage Ospreay to take advantage of his ailing friend. In the end, Ospreay couldn’t pull the trigger and it cost them.

The Young Bucks Def. Jon Moxley And Will Ospreay

  • The Young Bucks started out hot with double-team offense on Will Ospreay and Jon Moxley. Young Bucks hit the catapult kick followed by a double-stomp from Nick Jackson on Ospreay for a nearfall. Ospreay sold a head injury by taking a knee. Nick also sold a head injury on the outside to where he was unable to tag in. As Matt went to check on his brother, Ospreay took advantage with a dive to the outside on both the Young Bucks.
  • Ospreay asked the referee if Nick was able to continue, but a furious Jon Moxley demanded that Ospreay get back to the match. Marina Shafir interfered and took out Matt Jackson on the outside as fans booed.
  • Nick Jackson was still on the floor as this devolved into a handicap match. Moxley tagged in and mauled Matt with forearms. Marina interfered again and delivered a stiff punch to the midsection of Matt. Heel Moxley pounced on an ailing Nick Jackson and hit a piledriver on the outside.
  • Matt Jackson was in deep as Ospreay trapped him in an armbar. Jackson escaped, but Ospreay remained in control and threw Jackson into the corner. Matt Jackson began a furious rally, shedding Ospreay and diving to the outside on Moxley. Nick Jackson finally recovered enough to demand a tag. Nick Jackson made the hot tag to his uncertain sibling and ran wild on Moxley and Ospreay.
  • The Young Bucks hit a double-stomp into a sitout powerbomb on Ospreay for a nearfall. Moxley interfered with a TK Driver Moxley and Ospreay hit a stereo Styles Clash/piledriver for a nearfall. Fans chanted “this is awesome.”
  • Ospreay hit a second-rope torneo to the outside on Matt Jackson while Moxley cleaned Nick Jackson’t clock with a lariat. Ospreay came flying in and accidentally hit Moxley with a Phenomenal Forearm. The Young Bucks capitalized and took control of the match. Ospreay cut off a “More Bang for your Buck,” but Nick Jackson was still able to hit a 450 splash on Mox. Ospreay evened the odds with a 450 splash on Matt Jackson.
  • The Young Bucks hit a BTE Trigger on Moxley, but Ospreay broke up the pinfall with a Hidden Blade. Nick Jackson went back to selling a concussion on the outside as a conflicted Will Ospreay bombarded Nick Jackson with strikes. Ospreay then shoved referee Rick Knox and teased hitting a Hidden Blade, but he couldn’t pull the trigger. Matt Jackson covered up his brother and told Ospreay to stop.
  • Jon Moxley tagged himself in and hit Nick Jackson with a stomp for a nearfall. Moxley transitioned into a Bulldog choke. Ospreay was beside himself as Moxley hit repeated forearm strikes. Matt Jackson ran wiled, and accidentally hit Marina Shafir with a superkick on the outside.
  • Jon Moxley hit a pair of Paradigm Shifts on Nick Jackson. Moxley hit a Death Rider, but instead of making the cover, he went for a steel chair. Mox shoved Rick Knox, who still didn’t have the guts or aptitude to call for a disqualification.
  • Will Ospreay stopped Mox from using the steel chair, opening the door for a BTE Trigger on Moxley. A defiant Moxley flipped off both Young Bucks, so they answered with a superkick party on Mox, a party of one. Nick Jackson pinned Moxley for the win.
