Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” has transformed her from a hitmaker in the country world into one of the most exciting new stars in music. Released last fall, the track quickly surged on every Billboard chart on which it appeared, and the tune began dominating several rankings in early 2026. Months later, it has not relented.

“Choosin’ Texas” is stationary atop the Billboard Hot 100, earning a milestone fifteenth frame as the biggest song in the United States. Even as it fails to lead most of the component tallies that feed into that ranking, it does stand out as the most-streamed track in the nation. On the sales rundown, though, Langley steps aside after nearly passing a trio of decade-defining smashes in the history books.

Ella Langley Falls From No. 1

Only one week ago, “Choosin’ Texas” commanded the Digital Song Sales chart. The ranking lists only the bestselling individual tunes in the U.S., counting purchases made solely through platforms such as iTunes.

Last frame, Langley’s smash earned its lucky thirteenth week at No. 1. That run tied “Choosin’ Texas” with three massive hits – “Low” by Flo Rida and T-Pain, “Uptown Funk” by Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars and “Closer” by the Chainsmokers and Halsey – which also spent 13 periods as the top-selling cut of any style in the country.

BTS Scores a New No. 1 Bestseller

BTS replaces Langley atop the Digital Song Sales chart with “Normal.” The track reenters the ranking at No. 1 and appears on the roster for only the second time.

The K-pop boy band recently chose “Normal” as the second official single from its comeback album Arirang, following “Swim.” After BTS shared a music video for the tune, fans responded by purchasing the track in enormous numbers – as they always do for the boy band.

“Normal” becomes BTS’s fifteenth No. 1 on the Digital Song Sales chart. The new victory helps the Grammy-nominated group tie Drake for the third-most champions in the history of the purchase-only tally.

Shakira and Burna Boy Nearly Reach the Summit

Shakira and Burna Boy come even closer than Langley to challenging BTS for the No. 1 space on the Digital Song Sales chart. Their collaboration “Dai Dai,” the official song of the recently-concluded World Cup, surges to a new peak of No. 2. The anthem reaches the runner-up rung roughly a month and a half into its time on the ranking. It only recently broke into the top 10, and this week it continues its rapid climb by vaulting from No. 9.

BTS Outsells Ella Langley by a Wide Margin

According to Luminate, “Normal” sold a little less than 21,000 copies during the latest tracking period. The sum gives BTS a comfortable lead over both “Dai Dai” and “Choosin’ Texas.” Shakira and Burna sold nearly 7,200 copies of their World Cup track. That’s a significant increase for the collaboration, which moved only 1,700 downloads one week earlier.

“Choosin’ Texas” follows with a little less than 6,900 purchases. Langley’s total is down by only a few hundred copies from the previous frame, and it’s not far from landing in second place.

Ella Langley Continues to Rule Elsewhere

The loss on the Digital Song Sales chart does not prevent “Choosin’ Texas” from once again standing out as the biggest song in America. The country smash holds at No. 1 on both the Billboard Hot 100 and Streaming Songs charts during its fortieth week on each ranking. “Choosin’ Texas” also continues to command the Hot Country Songs and Country Streaming Songs tallies as well.
