Wordle Analysis
Every day I check Wordle Bot to help analyze my guessing game. You can check your Wordles with Wordle Bot right here.
I was surprised when SOLAR came back with all grey boxes but fortunately CHIME was able to snag a couple vowels and slash the 359 words I had remaining to just 7. I wasn’t really sure what to do at this point and went with BINGE, which left me with just two remaining possible solutions: INDIE and UNTIE. Thankfully, I chose INDIE!
Competitive Wordle Score
I really hoped the Wordle Bot would take four tries today also but alas, my hopes were dashed. I get 0 points for guessing in four and -1 for losing to the Bot, who took just three tries. Oh well!
How To Play Competitive Wordle
- Guessing in 1 is worth 3 points; guessing in 2 is worth 2 points; guessing in 3 is worth 1 point; guessing in 4 is worth 0 points; guessing in 5 is -1 points; guessing in 6 is -2 points and missing the Wordle is -3 points.
- If you beat your opponent you get 1 point. If you tie, you get 0 points. And if you lose to your opponent, you get -1 point. Add it up to get your score. Keep a daily running score or just play for a new score each day.
- Fridays are 2XP, meaning you double your points—positive or negative.
- You can keep a running tally or just play day-by-day. Enjoy!
Today’s Wordle Etymology
The word indie is a shortened form of independent, originating in the early 20th century. It became widely used in the mid-20th century to describe independent film studios and music labels that operated outside the major corporate systems. By the late 20th century, indie had expanded beyond film and music to describe independent creators and movements in various industries, including video games, publishing, and fashion.
