Japanese audio brand Final has announced the launch of its latest pair of wireless earbuds, the ZE3000 SV featuring the newly developed f-Core SV drivers and with Active Noise Cancelation.
Final has been researching the impact of earbud housings on audio quality and says it achieved an audio experience that leverages the acoustic space of the earbud housing and coupled it with newly designed drivers to create a sound profile more frequently found in high-end wired earphones. And it’s all been done without the use of software equalizers and other digital adjustments.
These new and affordable wireless earbuds incorporate three new technologies developed by Final’s in-house team of engineers and designers. At the heart of the new ZE3000 SV is Final’s new f-Core SV dynamic driver. This is a large 10mm dynamic diameter, a big increase from the previous 6mm version. The driver has been designed to deliver superior audio by fully using the acoustic space inside the earbud housing and doing so without the need for equalization.
The second new technology used in the ZE3000 SV is the f-LINK Port. To get the most out of the f-Core SV drivers, Final developed the new f-LINK port. Because of the placement of the battery, circuit board and antenna within the earbud housing, there is very little space left over to create an acoustic chamber to adjust and shape the sound quality.
For Final to achieve the sound it was after, the new f-LINK port was implemented to optimize the pressure of the acoustic space while ensuring the housing is still water resistant. The f-LINK port allows significant control of low frequencies, which is usually hard to achieve in true wireless products. Final claims the result is “realistically vivid vocals, kick drums and bass lines that hit hard without overpowering the overall balance.”
Final’s new Comfort ANC has been designed to balance sound quality and sound isolation performance. To get high levels of sound cancellation, ANC often sacrifices audio quality for background silence. The result can often cause an increased feeling of pressure which creates noise-canceling fatigue.
Because affordable wireless earbuds are often used for everything—from music listening to watching videos and playing games—Final introduced a new Gaming Mode that can be activated via the Final CONNECT smartphone app. The result is an instant shift to a low latency connection of up to 60ms, impressive with standard Bluetooth technology. Users can also use the Gaming Mode to watch movies, live performances and gaming without any noticeable latency, making audio and video fully in sync.
The Final ZE3000 SV earbuds also have lots of other features including Bluetooth multi-point connectivity, wind cut mode, ambient sound mode and 7-band equalizer. All these features can be accessed using the Final CONNECT app.
When it comes to audio codecs, the ZE3000 SV earbuds support SBC, AAC and LDAC which transmits up to three times the amount of information compared to the default SBC standard. LDAC is capable of handling digital audio up to 96kHz / 24-bit for high-resolution sound sources, enabling users to enjoy high-quality music streaming from TIDAL, Qobuz and others.
Designed for a comfortable, lightweight fit with minimal pressure, Final says the ZE3000 SV are suitable for all-day wear. A single charge of the built-in battery can deliver up to 7 hours of playback and a total of 28 hours with the reserve charge in the earbuds’ storage case. Those figures are with the ANC function turned on.
The earbuds are finished with Final’s signature Shibo textured coating and the new ‘easy-catch design’ means the earbuds are easier to remove from their case and go back in with minimal effort. The textured coating also prevents fingerprint marks and reduces the impact of any scratches to the housings, for a cleaner look.
