Noble was founded back in 2013 and in a little over a decade, it’s established itself as a byword for In-Ear Monitors or IEMs. The company has set some benchmarks in the world of premium earphones with a reputation for build quality and design. Often handcrafted from precious materials, the IEMs are miniature pieces of art and have a serious following from audiophiles and sound industry professionals.
Today sees the launch of the brand’s latest creations in the form of the Shogun and Agis II IEMs. Both the Shogun and Agis II are being officially unveiled at CanJam Singapore on April 5, 2025, with pre-orders for both models opening on March 25.
The new Shogun IEMs are designed for powerful delivery, precision sound and craftsmanship finish. Shogun IEMs are Noble’s latest flagship hybrid model, equipped with a configuration made up of 13 drivers, designed to deliver deep, controlled bass, articulate mids and an extended, natural treble. The IEMs are housed in a 3D-printed resin shell featuring intricate detailing, inspired by the Gusokuarmorr of the Tokugawa Shogunate, blending traditional artistry with innovative engineering.
The 13 drivers consist of a 10mm composite diaphragm dynamic driver for deep, and impactful bass. Then two bone-conducting drivers enhance the wearer’s spatial perception. Half a dozen balanced armature drivers bring precision to the mid-to-high frequencies. Finally, a quartet of electrostatic units offers exceptional transient response and micro-detail retrieval.
Noble says that, at the heart of the Shogun’s design is the spirit of the samurai, crafted with intricate art spray painting techniques that replicate the fine textures and layered depth of Domaru-style armor. The golden Oni mask at its center symbolizes strength and precision, while the Menuki-inspired geometric accents echo the artistry of traditional katana hilts.
Shogun’s acoustic chamber is engineered to optimize frequency response for a balanced and dynamic listening experience that takes the listener to the heart of their music.
The Agis II IEM also launched today is the evolution of a Noble classic. Building on the legacy of its predecessor, the Agis II IEMs have a refined tuning and performance thanks to an advanced hybrid array of eight drivers, offering improved imaging, depth and a more expansive soundstage. Designed for audiophiles, musicians and professional audio users, Agis II is about balancing clarity, power and precision.
Each of the Agis II housings contains two Sonion BA drivers for deep and well-defined bass. Then there are a couple of Knowles balanced armature drivers for natural and detailed mids. Two Sonion EST drivers supply the extended highs while a couple of Sonion BC drivers enhance the midrange presence
The housing of the Agi II is made from back resin with an art faceplate. The cable is an 8-core design with switchable plugs so the user can choose their termination.
