Bandai Namco announced that a new Dragon Ball game is coming out 2027. While it doesn’t have an official name yet, its working title is currently Dragon Ball New Game Project AGE 1000.

“The world of Dragon Ball continues to expand with a brand-new Dragon Ball world and its entirely original characters— all brought to life by Akira Toriyama,” Bandai Namco said in a press release. “Set for 2027, the ‘AGE 1000’ project will introduce even more unique characters as the adventure unfolds. In a reveal trailer, fans can witness the debut of a never-before-seen character—designed by Akira Toriyama himself—within the new Dragon Ball world, ‘AGE 1000.’”

The trailer shows a young man with white hair decked out in green Capsule Corp gear. He looks to be in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber and summons holograms to spar against. After taking them out, he turns around and sees someone behind him. The person is presumably some form of Goku, but their real identity is unknown, as the shot only shows their shoe. Our young man then has a visions showing major characters from the Dragon Ball universe before turning into a Super Saiyan, revealing that he has Saiyan blood.

As of right now, we also don’t know what platforms it’ll be on, or what kind of game it is. Is it a brawler like Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero? Or will it be an RPG like Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot?

More information about the game will be revealed at the Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour taking place from April 18 – 19 in Los Angeles, California at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall.

Bandai Namco also announced that Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero will receive a new major DLC update this summer that includes new characters such as King Piccolo and Super Saiyan Bardock.

Additionally, the game will get two free upgrades in “Mission 100” and “Survival Mode.” The former is a single-player mode where players will clear various missions and it releases on January 26, while the latter launches this spring.

All of these new updates and DLC will come to PC, PS5, and Xbox first, along with Switch/Switch 2 at a later date.
