TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – Advisors Excel announced a fundraising achievement of $1.7 million in support of four impactful organizations.
The organizations are Folds of Honor, The V Foundation for Cancer Research, Camp Southern Ground, and The Jones Project.
The funds were raised during Advisors Excel’s annual World Series of Success event in partnership with more than 550 of the nation’s top financial professionals.
The two-day event, held recently in Kansas City, combines professional development with philanthropic efforts.
Beneficiaries of the fundraiser include organizations renowned for their life-changing missions:
- Folds of Honor ensures the families of fallen and disabled servicemembers receive the educational support they deserve. With 45 percent of scholarships awarded to minorities, the program reflects the diversity of the nation it serves.
- The V Foundation for Cancer Research, established in 1993 by ESPN and legendary basketball coach Jim Valvano, has provided nearly $400 million in cutting-edge cancer research funding. Thanks to the organization’s endowment, 100 percent of direct donations go toward research and programs.
- Camp Southern Ground, founded by GRAMMY-winning artist Zac Brown, extends life-changing experiences and support to youth and veterans through innovative programming and a world-class facility in Georgia.
- The Jones Project, led by Coach Damon Parker, focuses on mental health awareness through compelling presentations and action-oriented strategies for students and teachers in Kansas. The Jones Project was founded in June 2022 in memory of former Advisors Excel teammate Josh Jones.
Since 2008, Advisors Excel and its network of financial professionals have raised approximately $9.4 million for charitable organizations. At last year’s event, nearly $1.36 million was donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
