Amazon Prime Big Deal Days broke records as the e-commerce site’s biggest October shopping event yet, the company said Thursday.

Amazon hosted its Prime Big Deal Days on Tuesday and Wednesday – a two-day event that offered a slew of deals and promotions to its members.

While Amazon doesn’t release specific sales numbers from its Prime events, the company said Prime members worldwide saved more than $1 billion across millions of deals.

Amazon Prime Big Deal Days broke records as the company’s biggest October shopping event yet, Amazon said on Thursday.

“Our 2024 Prime Big Deal Days event marked a strong start to the holiday shopping season, with record-breaking sales and participation from Prime members worldwide,” Worldwide Amazon Stores CEO Doug Herrington said in a statement.

More Prime members shopped during this year’s Big Deal Days than last year’s event.

Amazon saw higher sales and more items sold during the two-day sale than during any other October event.

Independent sellers won big, too, reaching record sales compared to last year’s October event.

“People are looking for deals because the economy isn’t as good as it was,” Jay Kamhi, creator of the Mr. Predicto fortune-telling toy and president of Amazon toy-seller Kamhi World, previously told The Post.

Prime members enjoyed deals across categories like electronics, home, toys, beauty and apparel – which gave customers the chance to stock up on gifts ahead of the busy holiday shopping season.

Popular brands like Dyson, Mattel, Levi’s and Apple launched deals during the Amazon event.

Some of the top-selling brands and products across the two-day event included trendy skincare from Laneige, Innisfree and Sulwhasoo; gadgets like Apple AirPods and smart watches; popular kids’ toys from Barbie, Fisher-Price, American Girl, Play-Doh and Nerf; and home essentials like carpet cleaner, vacuums and air cleaners.

Amazon is on track to deliver products at its fastest speeds ever in 2024, the company said.

Prime members took advantage of innovative tools, like Amazon’s AI-powered shopping assistant Rufus and its visual shopping tool Amazon Lens.

Amazon’s Prime events are an effort to increase Prime membership numbers — which boosts loyalty and creates more return customers.

The company said a record number of customers signed up for a Prime membership in the three weeks leading up to Big Deal Days compared to the weeks before last year’s October event.

Amazon has also focused on improving its shipment speeds this year. The company said it is on track to deliver products at its fastest speeds ever in 2024.

“The shift from brick-and-mortar to online shopping continues to grow,” Evolved Commerce co-founder Gabe Ray previously told The Post.

The two-day Prime event offered deals on popular gifting categories like toys, beauty and apparel.

While online shopping was earlier seen as a fad among younger generations, “more and more people of older generations are adopting it and accepting online shopping is easier,” Ray said.

If you missed out on Big Deal Days, no need to panic: It is just the start of a series of Prime events meant to kick off the holiday season.

Next up is Prime’s 4th Annual Holiday Beauty Haul, which will take place from Oct. 21 to Nov. 3.

The massive beauty shopping event offers thousands of deals on beauty products and holiday gift sets from brands like Clinique, COSRX, Sol de Janiero, Youth to the People and more.
