On Saturday, August 31, in Berlin, the WWE Bash will emanate from Uber Arena with a five-match card. Here’s how you can watch the action.
- Date: Saturday, August 31
- Time: 1 p.m. ET
- TV/Stream: Peacock in the United States and WWE Network in Europe
Bash in Berlin Full Card
- WWE Championship Match: Cody Rhodes defends against Kevin Owens
- World Heavyweight Championship: Gunther vs. Randy Orton
- Mixed Tag Match: Damian Priest & Rhea Ripley vs. “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio & Liv Morgan
- Strap Match: CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre
- WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship: The Unholy Union vs. Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill
While there will be three titles on the line, it’s hard to tell which match will be the main event.
WWE could go with Cody Rhodes’ suddenly more interesting title defense against Kevin Owens as the featured match. However, on Friday night on Smackdown, the Berlin crowd goes wild for their local Superstars.
Ludwig Kaiser got a sustained pop to open the show as a title challenger against United States Champion L.A. Knight.
Because of that, World Heavyweight Champion Gunther’s title defense against Randy Orton might be the main event. These two men figure to be headed for a program that runs at least a month, and a classic match at Bash in Berlin could be a great way to make it one of the more compelling storylines on the current WWE landscape.
Perhaps strangely, CM Punk could open the show in Berlin against Drew McIntyre in a Strap Match. That match could generate as much fan reaction as any on the card. WWE has done an excellent job making this match feel like a title bout.
The battle for sway in the feud and possession of Punk’s family-themed bracelet has become like a championship situation.
The third title will be the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships. Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair will attempt to regain their tag titles as they challenge the Unholy Union (Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn).
Some expect to see Cargill and Belair regain their titles, but fans should also be on the lookout for a potential breakup–or at least the makings of a fallout.
The Belair-Cargill team has a time limit, as both are best suited for singles exploits. The question is: Do we see the beginning of that angle in Berlin, or will WWE push the dominant duo for a little longer?
Be on the lookout for post-event coverage following Bash in Berlin and heading into Monday’s episode of Raw.
