The 2025 WWE Royal Rumble has people talking.
The field is arguably as deep as it has ever been, and there are compelling matches attached to the premium live event besides the men’s and women’s Rumble matches.
Here’s how you can watch and everything we know about the card and the confirmed entrants into both Royal Rumble matches.
Date: Saturday, February 1
Time: 6 p.m. ET
Location: Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, IN
TV/Stream: Peacock
WWE Royal Rumble 2025 Confirmed Card
(c) Cody Rhodes vs. Kevin Owens – Ladder Match
This feud between Rhodes and Owens has been epic. Owens has done some of his best work, and for a legend like him, that’s a major statement. I’m probably not alone in thinking Owens has a great chance to leave Royal Rumble as the champ and be the man who ushers the Winged Eagle belt back in as the recognized championship belt.
If Owens wins, the crowd probably won’t chant, “You deserve it,” but he does.
(c) DIY (Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa) vs. Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin) – Best 2 out of 3 Falls
If WWE doesn’t add another match to the card, this tag-team scrap should get ample showtime to deliver some memorable action. I have no idea if MCMG will regain the titles, but I could see it happening. It might make more sense to have DIY retain to stretch the feud out a bit further, perhaps bringing in another team to produce an even bigger PLE match in the next few months.
In any case, I have high hopes for the action in this match.
Men’s Royal Rumble – 15 Confirmed Participants
- John Cena
- CM Punk
- Seth Rollins
- Jey Uso
- Drew McIntyre
- Logan Paul
- Sami Zayn
- Penta
- Shinsuke Nakamura
- Bron Breakker
- Chad Gable
- Rey Mysterio
- Roman Reigns
- Carmelo Hayes
- LA Knight
This group of WWE Superstars is among the most esteemed I’ve ever seen in one Royal Rumble match. I’m hoping the match delivers in the way of action, surprises, and a finish that delivers the required punch to the Road to WrestleMania.
Women’s Royal Rumble – 10 Confirmed Participants
- Bayley
- Liv Morgan
- Charlotte Flair
- Nia Jax
- Bianca Belair
- Naomi
- Lyra Valkyria
- Raquel Rodriguez
- Iyo Sky
- Ivy Nile
The women’s Rumble has its share of stars, but without Rhea Ripley, there is a bit of a hole. There is some talk she could be in the men’s Rumble, no doubt to gain a huge pop and likely victimize Dominik Mysterio in some way.
In any case, I’m expecting to see Jade Cargill and a few other surprises. The final touches to the 2025 WWE Royal Rumble card will come on Friday.
The final episode of SmackDown emanates from the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. The card for the go-home episode is as follows:
- Chelsea Green (c) vs. Michin – WWE Women’s United States Championship
- Jimmy Uso vs. Carmelo Hayes
- Naomi vs. Liv Morgan
- DIY (Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa) & Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince & Kit Wilson) vs. The Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin) & Los Garza (Berto & Angel) – Eight-Man Tag Team Match
Don’t be surprised if everyone on the card who hasn’t already declared for the Rumble winds up as an entrant.
