Battlestate Games has announced a major upgrade to the ongoing Twitch Drops for Escape From Tarkov after some fans complained that some of the items they were being given were effectively useless.
The Twitch Drops for Escape From Tarkov have been going on for a few days now, and are due to continue for a couple more before the campaign switches over to Escape From Tarkov Arena. But, after the first few drops started to be delivered to players, complaints started to roll in.
When it comes to the Twitch Drops being underwhelming, there are always some fans complaining that they got terrible items from the drops, which is to be expected given not everyone will be happy with a few barter items or food packages. But this time things were different, thanks to the change in the most recent patch notes that requires all items used to upgrade the hideout to be found in raid.
This means if you have an item that is not found in raid, as in an actual item you find on the map and manage to extract with, you will not be able to use it to upgrade your hideout, which is the primary use for most of the barter items in Tarkov. Given the drops tend to feature a lot of barter items, this change meant most of them were fairly useless other than selling to traders for a few roubles here and there.
However, after a lot of complaints, Battlestate Games has announced via the official Escape From Tarkov social media pages that all future drops for this drops campaign will feature found in raid items. This means you will be able to use items you get from drops to upgrade your hideout, or you can wait a few days for the flea market to open up and sell them to other players.
This change is no doubt a good thing, and it appears if you are yet to open any of your previously earned drops they will become found in raid items as well, which is another nice bonus for the more patient players out there. If, like me, you opened them all as soon as you go them, then you’ll need to find some streams to watch over the next couple of days to get your free found in raid items via Twitch Drops.
