The Pixel 9 family introduced Google’s new design language to its own smartphone range. According to the latest information from the combined Android Headlines and OnLeaks teams, it appears Google will continue with the same design in the Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro family.
Pixel 10 Pro Details
The details come from leaked CAD files that present the key external physical dimensions—likely supplied to accessory manufacturers so they have the exact dimensions of the phones they are building for, as well as giving them the option to build their own physical blanks to check fit and function.
Google looks to be running three similar models to the 9 Series: a vanilla Pixel 10 with a 6.3-inch screen. The Pixel 10 Pro will offer increased performance specifications in the same 6.3-inch form factor. The Pixel 10 Pro XL will come with a larger 6.8-inch screen but the same increased specifications of the Pixel 10 Pro.
Pixel 10 Pro Stays Small
Of note, Google is continuing with the smaller form factor with the highest specifications available. The Pixel 9 Pro was seen by many as a departure from the norm of having the highest specs only available with the larger phones. It picked up many ‘Phone Of The Year’ awards, with many noting the size and style as contributing factors; Techardar’s Philip Berne:
“The Pixel 9 Pro is Google’s first big design change since the Pixel 6. I found that old design appealing, but it was getting stale. The new Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro devices look very sharp.”
There will be a lot of love for Google with this continuation of the smaller smartphone approach. The two most visible competitors, Samsung and Apple, do have models that sit between the vanilla and the Pro handsets, but their difference is a larger screen with the same performance as the vanilla model. Google is taking Pixel in the opposite direction with the same screen and increased performance.
Pixel 10 Pro Release Dates
Last year saw Google bring the launch of the Pixel 9 family forward by two months and into August. The current indications from both the supply chain and the timetable for Android 16 suggest the same timescale will be true this year.
