Hisense has unveiled an overview of its 2025 TV range for the U.K. — and it’s clear that it’s out to further capitalize on key areas such as the Mini LED technology and king-sized screen markets that have served it so well in recent years. Though that’s not to say there aren’t one or two surprises along the way, too.

Perhaps the biggest of these surprises is the announcement of a new Hisense OLED TV. While Hisense did carry an OLED TV in its 2024 U.K. offering, it was released and sold without much fanfare. The brand seems much more bullish about this year’s upcoming A85Q OLED series, though, picking it out as a highlight of its 2025 range and going to the trouble of explaining that they: Deliver an expanded and more subtly expressed colour gamut capable of “capturing even the finest tonal shifts”; carry pixel maintenance technology to ensure they don’t quickly succumb to screen burn; and are equipped with color correction technology that includes skin tone and primary color correction features designed to help images stay true to the filmmaker’s vision.

While Hisense hasn’t yet announced pricing on its new TVs, experience suggests that Hisense’s new OLED model will likely be relatively aggressively priced, too.

Less surprising but no less important in Hisense’s 2025 U.K. TV range is its new trio of Mini LED series. Heading these Mini LED models up will be the U8Qs, which will combine the highest number of local dimming zones in Hisense’s 2025 LCD range with the innate light control advantages of using mini rather than regular sized LEDs.

The new U7Q Pro and U7Q will see step downs in the extent of the local dimming technology being used and other aspects of their all-round performance; for instance, while the U8Q and U7Q Pro benefit from Hisense’s latest Hi-View AI Engine PRO to deliver better optimised picture and sound and a more intelligent and adaptive viewing experience, while the non-Pro U7Q gets the less powerful Hisense AI Engine processor. But their mini LED technology should still give them an advantage over regular ‘big’ LED models.

The AI Engine PRO system includes user experience innovations such as AI Clear Voice, designed to help dialogue remain clear above background noise; AI Depth, which applies a range of image analysis and enhancement techniques to create a more lifelike sense of picture depth; and a 3D Sound Upscaler that’s claimed to be able to create a surround sound experience without the need for real rear or height speakers.

Despite being less powerful, the non-PRO AI Engine carried by Hisense’s new U7Q Mini LED models and A85Q OLED TVs still manages to provide an AI Sound Optimiser, a Dialogue Clarity mode, an AI Energy Saving light sensor, and various AI-powered picture modes.

Hisense’s new Mini LED TV series will further benefit from new 165Hz Game Mode support, Dolby Atmos audio playback, Quantum Dot color systems capable of producing a claimed one billion plus shades of color, while all three U8Q, U7Q Pro and U7Q Mini LED ranges will include 75, 85 and 100-inch models, picking up from Hisense’s significant moves into the cinema-sized TV market last year.

Hisense is also going to be shipping a 100-inch model in its step-down (regular rather than Mini LED) E7Q Pro series, while even its value-focused A7Qs will get a 75-inch screen size – along with supporting contrast-friendly Direct-Lit full array panel technology and Quantum Dot colors.

The new E7Q Pro QLED models will also offer 144Hz gaming refresh rate support, as well as a Hisense Game Bar menus screen giving you fast access to the TV’s game features, while the E7Q Pro, step-down E7Q, and A7Q models will all support Dolby Vision HDR on top of the basic HDR10 and HLG formats. All three of these mid-range LED models will get the Hi-View AI processing engine, too.

Hisense’s 2025 TV announcement further states that the brand will be introducing a 65-inch version of its innovative S7 Canvas TVs to go with the already released 55-inch model. Canvas TVs combine a reflection- and glare-rejecting Hi-Matte Display with an ultra-slim wall mount and a choice of three different painting-style frame options (teak, walnut and white) to make them look more like works of art than standard TVs.

Wrapping up Hisense’s 2025 U.K. TV range, finally, will be the A5Q and A4Qs. Hisense has introduced these new series to bolster its small-screen offering, giving people with small living rooms or who are in the market for a compact second-room TV a way of getting their hands on the new Freely streaming service that Hisense was one of the first TV brands to support. Freely, if you’re not familiar with it, is backed by the BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5, and enables UK viewers to live stream many of the channels carried on the Freeview terrestrial broadcast platform, rather than having to receive them via aerial – as well as carrying tens of thousands of hours of on-demand content.

Despite featuring smaller screen sizes, the A5Q and A4Q series apparently still feature 4K Direct-Lit LED panels, Dolby Atmos audio playback, and Quantum Dot color technology.
