HOLYOKE — Holyoke has earned an A+ bond rating and high marks for its financial management policies from rating agency Standard & Poor, a rating that indicates a strong capacity to pay debt service.
“The rating reflects Holyoke’s stable performance, robust reserve levels, and recently adopted policies and practices,” Standard & Poor stated in the update issued March 18.
Standard & Poor is a global credit rating agency that provides independent opinions on the creditworthiness of borrowers, including governments, corporations and municipalities.
