With the boom of AI, content creators, and influencers may wonder how AI can help them or how it fits their business. There are many fears around using AI. Generative AI tools that can create images and videos also stoke controversy.
However, there are AI tools out there that can enable content creators and influencers to work faster and smarter and allow them to enable even more creativity. From using Opus Clip to break down long-form video content into reels and TikToks, to using Reclaim AI to help you schedule your day, here are five ways content creators can use AI in 2025:
Content Ideas Generation
AI Tool: Chat GPT
One of the most common ways creators are using AI, specifically ChatGPT, is to generate content ideas.
ChatGPT can help you brainstorm podcast episode ideas, social media captions, new ideas for YouTube videos, and more. If you aren’t sure what to ask ChatGPT as a content creator, I recommend telling ChatGPT who you are, what you create content about, and who you create content for. Providing relevant information to ChatGPT will help you generate better ideas and more specific outcomes.
Here are a few prompts to get started:
- What types of short-form videos should I share on my channels?
- I’m in this niche or city…How do I stand out as a creator in my niche/city?
- I’m currently creating content about….What other things do you think I should lean into?
I spoke with Bree Pair, a content creator coach and podcast host of Thrive for Content Creators. She shared with me how she’s using Chat GPT to generate content for her coaching programs.
Emma: How are you using AI to help you generate new content ideas, especially to attract new clients for your coaching programs?
Bree: With chat GPT I’ve copied emails and pages from my website and blog posts and all of this content that I’ve already written and created on audience personas, demographics, everything, and placed it into Chat GPT.
I’m doing this to save all my content in one spot and I use it as my own search tool…
I’ve inputted into Chat GPT and asked it to remember content for a specific audience. And then when I need [Chat GPT] help with, I use it to draft emails, to brainstorm content ideas, like coming up with content for one of my coaching programs.
For example, I’ll ask Chat GPT “Can you just remind me of like some of the pain points with my Shift audience?”. I use those answers to come up with some posts for Instagram.
…It just makes me be able to work so much more efficiently instead of me having to go in and dig through maybe Google docs or wherever I have that content saved on other pages.
Craft Pitches For Local News Stations
AI Tool: Chat GPT
If you’re a content creator looking to pitch brands, local news outlets, or your local university, you can also use ChatGPT to help you write your pitch.
As a local Seattle content creator @emmasedition, I used Chat GPT to pitch to a local news outlet and make an appearance for a morning show in Seattle.
Here is what I shared with Chat GPT:
Here is what Chat GPT shared with me:
I refined the pitch Chat GPT shared to reflect my voice and make the email more personal. The host of New Day Northwest from KING 5 responded to my pitch, and I’ll be making my first appearance on Thursday, March 6th.
Tip: If you’re experimenting with Chat GPT to craft a pitch, share as much information as possible about who you are and what you want the outcome.
Edit Your Videos To Market Your Podcast Episodes
Austen Tosone, content creator, YouTuber @austentosone and podcaster, shared with me how she found an AI tool to help her market her podcast.
AI Tool: Opus Clip
Emma: How have you been able to market your new podcast, Create and Consume?
Austen: When I first launched my podcast, I knew I’d be doing everything myself, and one of my biggest fears was that I’d have zero time to market it. With Opus Clip, I upload a link to the video episode on YouTube, and it creates tons of clips for me to choose from.
Opus Clip also allows me to create presets that save my brand colors, so my branding automatically applies to all videos. The software even ranks the clips based on how catchy the hook is, whether the topic of the clip is trending, and more. I usually pull 2-3 of the best clips per episode, but there’s no doubt it saves me so much time and money as a solopreneur.
Use AI To Repurpose Existing Content Into Social Media Content
Kayla Watkins, Pinterest Strategist and CEO of Kayla Watkins, shared with me how she started using ChatGPT to help her create Instagram content from blog posts.
AI Tool: Chat GPT
Emma: How have you used Chat GPT or other AI tools to help you create content for social media?
Kayla: I’ve been able to expedite my content creation is by utilizing Chat GPT to help me create Instagram content, specifically reels, because that has always been a pain point for me.
Every week, I use the same prompt to ask Chap GPT to turn a portion of my blog post into 6 reel ideas with a hook and talking points. I select my favorites from the batch it shares and use the hook and talking points as the outline for recording my face-to-camera reels.
Two weeks of Instagram content would have taken me 2-3 days to accomplish, but now it takes me under 3 hours. This also keeps my content much more streamlined since I am deep diving into one topic each month rather than a different topic for each post.
Use AI To Help You Organize Your Business
Gabby, the Founder of SeekPTO and content creator behind @packslight, shares how she uses AI to organize her business.
AI Tools: Reclaim AI and Descript AI
Emma: What AI tools are you using to help you stay organized as a content creator?
Gabby: At the start of every month, I plug everything I need to get done into Reclaim.ai, and the AI schedules it for me—both my long-term goals and my daily tasks.
I have ADHD, so I get super distracted. Shiny object syndrome means nothing gets done without structure. AI helps me plan my day.
Emma: Besides Reclaim AI, what other AI tools help you work faster?
Gabby: I used to work on manually editing videos, and that would take several days. Now, I’ll upload the entire 60-minute clip into Descript AI, and it’ll generate 10-second snippets for me.
That alone saves me three to four days of work. AI adds captions, spell-checks, polishes, etc.
Emma: How have AI tools impacted your productivity and team?
Gabby: I used to hire three assistants to handle various things in my business, but now I need just one full-time person who manages AI workflows. This is not replacing my team—it’s allowing them to work smarter, not harder.
AI makes my entire day run smoother. As someone who forgets everything and has things constantly falling through the cracks, AI is like a backup brain. AI is a game-changer. It’s not about replacing creativity; it’s about maximizing time, and for me, that’s been invaluable.
