Today (August 1), Jackbox Games has finally revealed the first gameplay preview trailer for the trio of M-rated titles that make up its adult-themed Jackbox Naughty Pack. It includes two returning games and an all-new offering, and it’s an interesting–if mixed–bag.

One thing that bonds the three games are their participation numbers: 3-8 players can take part in all of them, meaning you won’t be able to take on your significant other in a head-to-head. Maybe it’s for the best.

1. Fakin’ It All Night Long

Fakin’ It All Night Long sees the return of Jackbox Party Pack 3’s Fakin’ It, a game of social deduction that was originally overshadowed by fellow JPP3 titles Quiplash 2, Tee K.O., and Trivia Murder Party. This time, Jackbox is “putting it all out there,” with new categories and a remote-play mode.

As with its predecessor, Fakin’ It All Night Long gives a secret task to everyone other than the Faker, who has to blend in with the crowd. This version promises to take a more adult theme, though the trailer doesn’t exactly sell this; a brief glimpse of a softball question about cat licks will hopefully be among the few prompts that could’ve been in the original.

2. Dirty Drawful

Now we’re getting a look at something a little more “adult.” Everyone who’s simply heard of Jackbox Games knows the Drawful experience, so Dirty Drawful is a perfectly straightforward proposition: Jackbox has “taken the Drawful that you love and added spicy prompts to ensure your drawings are both terrible and titillating.”

There’s also a rumor there’s finally an undo button in this one, so that’s a nice bonus. Then again, why mess with a classic? There’s nothing better than watching the outcome of someone’s “corrections” to a mistake.

3. Let Me Finish

The final outing is perhaps its most questionable, probably because it’s the most performative. Let Me Finish is Jackbox’s “new presentation game that examines life’s serious questions” such as “Where is the mailbox’s butt?” and “How does this avocado get aroused?”

It’s probably the worst nightmare for many of Jackbox’s more introverted players, who prefer the comfort of suggestions from their phone rather than being forced to stand up in front of their friends–especially when the topics promise to be a bit fruity. Then again, the game by definition is much more salacious and outgoing; it’s a calculated bet that players would be more outgoing by default.

What date will the Jackbox Naughty Pack be released?

Jackbox’s adult-themed Naughty Pack launches on a still-unspecified day in September 2024, on “all major platforms”, for $21.69 (nice). You can wishlist it here on Steam.
