We’re underway in Atlantic City. Who doesn’t love a legitimate welterweight title fight?
At the end of the night, barring a draw, the IBF and WBA welterweight championships will be unified.
IBF champion Jaron “Boots” Ennis will face WBA champion Eimantas Stanionis in a true unification fight. The winner will also become the Ring Magazine champion at 147 pounds, which adds another layer of prestige.

As the fights play out, I’ll also include KO and knockdown highlights where available. The co-main event carries some interest. Though it is not a championship fight, Raymond Ford is one of the top young American fighters in the smaller weight classes.
He bounced back from the first loss of his pro career against Nick Ball in June 2024 with a unanimous decision win over Orlando Gonzalez.
On Saturday, Ford will battle the rugged Thomas Mattice. Gonzalez fought like a man determined not to be stopped—even if that meant a refusal to engage. It made for a boring fight, but it was still a dominant performance from Ford.
While Gonzalez didn’t pose much of an issue for Ford, Mattice should be far more competitive. Mattice is 22-4-1, and he has been in the ring with higher levels of competition.
The early portion of the stream has IBF super lightweight champion Richardson Hitchins handling color analysis. Early on, he is doing an excellent job. It’ll be interesting to see if DAZN continues to have him wear this hat during future fight cards.
