Lamont Roach has moved past the Gervonta Davis saga and the next challenge is a big one. On Saturday night, Roach moves up to 140 pounds to take on 140-pound WBC interim champion Isaac “Pitbull” Cruz.
You could make the argument that Roach and Cruz are two of the most respected fighters in the sport among their peers, but extremely underrated when it comes to public perception.
When they clash in the Amazon PBC PPV and PPV.com main event from Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, perhaps that’ll change. Here’s all the information you need on start times for the main event, prelims and the ring walk times for the main event.

The Main Event
Cruz (28-3-1, 18 KOs) puts his WBC interim super lightweight title on the line against Roach Jr. (25-1-2, 10 KOs) in a fight that could elevate the winner into legitimate stardom at 140 pounds.
Cruz brings power and aggression. The Mexican fighter has stopped 18 of his 28 victims and carries a reputation as one of the most fan-friendly fighters in boxing. His only loss to a top-tier opponent came against Gervonta Davis in 2021, a fight where Cruz went the full 12 rounds and earned respect for his durability and heart.
Roach enters riding momentum from his controversial draw against that same Gervonta Davis. Many observers—myself included—thought Roach won that fight. Now he moves up in weight looking to prove he belongs among the elite at super lightweight.
For additional piece of interesting info, Ryan Garcia says he just bet 30K on Pitbull to win and an additional 15K on him to stop Roach.
Cruz would be the first man to stop Roach.
