A resort style getaway awaits just miles from Manhattan.
Amagansett may be synonymous with a luxurious summer getaway, but off-season in The Hamptons perhaps never looked more tempting, thanks to a new seasonal offering from The Reform Club. The luxury property’s first cold season at 23 Windmill lane allows guests to cozy up in suites and cottages, with wood-burning fireplaces attended to by staff at any hour.
To accompany the crackle of the logs and cozy blankets provided in-room, guests can enjoy a slew of unlimited snacks, and request puzzles, games or local catered treats, including breads and tin fish from Il Buco, charcuterie from Cavaniola’s, and cookies from Rosie’s, and hot apple cider from Amber Waves. A bonfire can be set up in the property’s orchard, and guests can also request a catered dinner from any of their favorite local restaurants.
The Reform Club is just minutes from downtown Amagansett. Parking is available on site, or an SUV can pick up guests locally. The chauffeur is also available for shuttles around town, but leaving the property isn’t even necessary for a relaxing getaway.
Each room has a fireplace (some are indoor and outdoors), LCD TV, tea and coffee, a pre-stocked fridge of soft drinks (which can be customized prior to arrival), a Sonos sound system, and L’Occitane bath products. An included breakfast is pre-ordered via QR code, and scheduled for in-room service each morning. Each suite and cottage is unique decorated with piece from the Reform Club’s stunning art collection. Bikes are provided for rides to the beach less than a mile away.
On-site, guests can use Peloton bikes and more tech-forward equipment at the gym. A common area also offers a pool table, lounge area with a TV and access to a kitchen from which guests can order various bottles of wine and spirits or re-stock on snacks. Outside, guests can wander the orchard, with pears and apples available to pick until the produce season ends, and a windmill to admire.
The Reform Club has a quiet, high-end Hamptons vibe, best suited to couples rather than families, and its tranquil ambiance is often called one of the area’s best secret. The property is also pet friendly, for an additional fee of $50 per night.
For December, the Reform Club is offering a Coastal Winter Retreat Package through Saturday the 30th. Guests can request a Menorah or Christmas Tree waiting in their room, plus holiday lights and decor throughout the property, including the orchard. Those who book between December 21-30 will receive daily complimentary sparkling wine and one complimentary massages in-suite. Rates start at $850 and up per night.
On New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, rates start at $999 and up and include a champagne bottle on ice, glasses, and caviar service.
For groups, companies or families can also book the property’s private estate, dubbed the “21 House” with four bedrooms, a wrap-around porch and full kitchen. A buy out of the entire property including 21 House, three cottages and seven suites starts at $12,000 per night.
