The big return to the office is well and truly underway if activity in the video conferencing market is any indication. The latest company to announce an update to its meeting room technology is Logitech. The new Rally AI Camera and Rally AI Camera Pro are brand-new meeting room cameras powered with AI and have a design that makes them almost invisible for a more aesthetic boardroom finish.

The Rally AI Camera Pro is being described by Logitech as its most intelligent yet. The Rally AI Camera has been designed to blend into any room design and both models offer powerful intelligence and automation for deployment in larger and more complex meeting rooms or spaces.

Logitech says it is merging the best of two worlds with these new cameras by packing the superior quality of its Rally Camera model with powerful video intelligence typically found in some of Logitech’s larger devices. The cameras are compact enough to be integrated seamlessly into boardrooms, town-hall spaces and classrooms. The design also features Logitech’s first in-wall mounting option with a virtually invisible installation.

Ceiling And Wall Mounts

Both cameras can be mounted on ceilings, a TV display, on walls or even within a wall for a more subtle presence while ensuring privacy with an automatic shutter that clearly indicates when the cameras are turned off.

“Rally AI Cameras are designed to power the hybrid-first office, where the tech fades into the background to let the digital and physical worlds blend,” says Henry Levak, vice president of product at Logitech for Business. “From small walls to town halls, they provide a cinematic experience for meeting attendees while quietly solving problems that IT managers, Facilities teams, and Workplace Experience professionals face every day.”

Rally AI Cameras are equipped with adaptive AI-powered RightSight 2 video framing and premium optics. The design was inspired by moviemaking techniques that switch point of view, enabling the cameras to adapt in real-time by automatically framing a group, an individual speaker or placing meeting participants in a grid.

Multi-camera views can capture multiple perspectives in boardrooms, classrooms and town hall spaces by working in tandem with Zoom Intelligent Director and Microsoft Teams multiple camera view.

Both cameras feature a custom-designed lens and a 1-inch imaging sensor plus a 115-degree field of view and low-light performance. The Rally AI Camera Pro’s additional optical camera is fitted with 15x hybrid zoom that can zoom in on presenters and key details. On the backend, Rally AI Cameras are designed to dissolve the pain points of camera setup, management and workspace planning.

Room usage is an expensive real estate issue for business leaders. Rally AI Cameras are designed to detect when, how many and how often people use a room. That data is fed into Logitech Sync to give managers more information for planning better use of their meeting spaces. The technology can also be used for room scheduling, including automatically booking and releasing rooms based on people detection, bringing an end to the “ghost meeting.”

The cameras can be set up using USB or a single category cable using the optional Rally AI Camera Extension Kit. The cameras can work with the preferred conference audio system, like Rally Plus. Cameras can also connect via Wi-Fi or Ethernet with Logitech Sync-enabled network management for remote deployment, updates and troubleshooting.

The new Logitech Rally AI Cameras are designed to reduce environmental impact with low-carbon aluminum and paper packaging sourced from FSC-certified forests and other controlled sources.
