It’s been a lovely weekend but the weekend has sadly drawn to an end. Monday has reared its ugly head and it’s back to work for the lot of you. Here in the desert it’s been raining and hailing and it’s all quite lovely but I may need a new roof after the last bout of hail. It was really coming down! In any case, let’s solve today’s Strands grid . . . .
Strands is the newest game in the New York Times’ stable of puzzle games. It’s a fun twist on classic word search games. Every day we’re given a new theme and then tasked with uncovering all the words on the grid that fit that theme, including a spangram that spans two sides of the board. Let’s solve today’s, shall we?

Today’s Strands Breakdown
This was a fun Strands—a bit tricky to find a word in the beginning until I found the QU pairing. From here I worked around to find something it could go with and discovered CROQUET, one of my favorite lawn games. In fact, finding that led me to find LAWNGAMES, the spangram, and then everything else came together. I did have a bit of trouble unscrambling CORNHOLE despite really enjoying that game as well.
