OpenAI CEO Sam Altman told employees he thought the tactics of Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in Minneapolis were going “too far” in an internal Slack message, the New York Times DealBook reported, becoming the first major CEOs to take a direct stance against the federal agency, but also praised President Donald Trump as a “strong leader” and expressed hope that talks between him and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz would lead to “trust rebuilt with transparent investigations.”
