Samsung has announced a second wave of Black Friday deals for UK customers, with discounts and trade-in offers for its key Galaxy S handsets. This time, it’s the turn of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy S24+ in the spotlight.

These offers supplement those announced earlier this week. Forbes’ contributor Janhoi McGregor has picked out those highlights, including a significant cut in the price of the Galaxy S24 Ultra alongside competitive trade-in offers for older Android handsets.

UK consumers can pick up a £300 discount on the Galaxy Z Fold 6 when purchased through Samsung’s online store. This isn’t the only avenue for savings, as Samsung continues offering significant value for handsets traded in as you buy the new device. Up to £670 is on offer, but for the highest value, you’ll be looking to trade this year’s Galaxy S24 Ultra. A sliding scale will apply to other handsets, such as last year’s Galaxy Z Fold 5 valued at £540, Google’s Pixel Fold at £360, or Apple’s iPhone 14 Pro Max at £430.

This matches the US Z Fold 6 deals offered late last month in the US.

It’s a similar story with the Galaxy S24+. Launched in January 2024 as one of the first Galaxy AI-enabled smartphones, the S24+ has a £250 discount, taking the price for the base model to £749—£50 less than the smaller Galaxy S24.

Trade-in options are available here, although the top-tier Galaxy S24 Ultra is not listed as an option. The highest value Samsung is for the Z Fold 5 at £480, with similar prices for Google and Apple devices on offer.

Finally, at least for now, is the Galaxy Tab Series with a £80 discount on the Galaxy Tab S9 FE and a £100 discount on the S9 FE+. Tase-in offers are available but are more limited. Only the Apple iPads are specifically listed, with “Any iPad Pro” as the top option offering £150.

Samsung has been pushing numerous special offers, discounts and trade-ins throughout 2024. This has given Samsung a solid lead in the global smartphone market share and a five percent increase in shipments, according to the latest report from Canalys. This has the added bonus of pushing its generative AI suite Galaxy AI into a commanding 58 percent share thanks to the three Galaxy S24 models, according to Counterpoint Research.

Carrying on the special offers into the traditional Black Friday sales—sales that consumers are expecting—should see that position strengthened and extended.
