When is the next full moon? It’s been a big year for the moon. In the wake of April’s total solar eclipse, it involved four supermoons and a “ring of fire” eclipse. However, in 2025, it’s going the other way, causing a couple of total lunar eclipses — the first since 2022 — but also getting closer to Earth than at any time since 2019. Add a trio of supermoons and a couple of small solar eclipses, and it’s set to be an excellent year for moon gazers.
Here’s everything you need to know about every single fill moon in 2025:
January 2025: Full Wolf Moon
When: Monday, Jan. 13, 2025.
February 2025: Full Snow Moon
When: Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2025.
March 2025: Full Worm ‘Blood’ Moon

2024’s first total lunar eclipse. As seen from North and South America, the full moon will turn reddish for 65 minutes from 2:26 to 3:31 a.m. EDT. Following it will be the closest Super New Moon, on Mar. 29, 2025.
April 2025: Full Pink Moon
When: Saturday, Apr. 12, 2025.
May 2025: Full Flower Moon
When: Monday, May 12, 2025.
June 2025: Full Strawberry Moon

July 2025: Full Buck Moon

September 2025: Full Corn ‘Blood’ Moon
When: Sunday, Sept. 7, 2025.
2024’s second total lunar eclipse. As seen from Asia and Australia, the full moon will turn reddish for 82 minutes from 1:30 to 2:52 a.m. EDT. It’s called the Corn Moon because the Harvest Moon moniker — generally assigned to September’s full moon — is bestowed this year on October’s full moon.
October 2025: Full Super Harvest Moon
When: Monday, Oct. 6, 2025.
The first supermoon of 2024 is called the Harvest Moon instead of the usual Hunter’s Moon because it’s the closest full moon to September’s equinox on Sept. 22, 2025.
November 2025: Full Super Beaver Moon
When: Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2025.
The second supermoon of 2024 will be the closest full moon to Earth since 2019.
December 2025: Full Super Cold Moon
When: Thursday, Dec. 4, 2025.
The third supermoon of 2024 (though not the last — there’s also one in January 2026).
Wishing you clear skies and wide eyes.
