The Sihoo Doro S300 has made my working lifestyle easier. It’s one of the most comfortable chairs I’ve ever sat on. The chair features dynamic lumbar support, a “weightless recline experience,” and an integrated headrest. Sihoo claims it built the Doro S300 with an “anti-gravity mechanism.” Most of it is great.

I’ve had the chance to stay home throughout August and test it daily. Here’s what you need to know about the Sihoo Doro S300 if you are in the market for a premium office chair.

Ergonomic And Comfortable But With Minor Quirks

The Sihoo Doro S300 comes in a do-it-yourself package. The arms, seat, back pieces, and everything else need to be assembled by yourself. It’s a two-person job because some items are heavy and require support while you screw them in. While assembling, you’ll notice the premium quality of the materials. They’re dense, heavy, and top-notch.

Once set up, the Sihoo Doro S300 looks luxurious. The lower back support is divided into two parts, and the silver body color highlights the sophisticated look. You can adjust the height and placement of the arms, the extension of the seat, as well as recline the back. The chair is made to suit every body type and can take a maximum load of 136 kg (300 lb).

The Sihoo Doro S300 office chair features a unique design that would blend into any type of home office. It includes a body that’s made out of cloud-like mesh with Italian velvet and aerospace-grade glass fibre for their “anti-gravity mechanism.” The use of premium materials adds to both form and function.

The anti-gravity nature is experienced when you recline it fully backward at 138 degrees. You get the feeling that you’ll fall, but you don’t. However, it only supports three reclining angles: upright, slight recline, and full recline. Every time I go from the second to the third position, I wish for an option in the middle because sometimes, I want a better recline without feeling like I’m half-lying on my chair.

That being said, my sitting experience has been nothing short of comfortable. I’ve used the Doro S300 to work at my desk and reclined backward to watch movies on my projector. I’d have liked to have a slightly protruding headrest or a way to adjust it when typing at a desk, but I like its form when reclined backward.

As for the backrest and back support, they don’t feel uncomfortable even if you are sitting on it for hours at a stretch. I didn’t feel sweaty on my back or thighs, which was a problem with my previous office chair. The breathability of the mesh fabric on this one has been great. I’ve also had issues with back pain that flares up in some chairs, but the Doro S300 has been ergonomic for me.

You get dual lumbar support and spring seat support that add to the comfort factor. It’s got a suspension under the seat that cushions when I sit on it and doesn’t affect my lower back. While the arms are adjustable, they move easily—even when you’re only leaning on them. They move with slight pressure that you might unknowingly apply when moving your arms. It’s not a deal-breaker, but it’s a constant annoyance that you might or might not get used to.

Sihoo Doro S300 Review: Verdict

At $799, the Sihoo Doro S300 isn’t for everyone. It might seem too expensive at first, but the use of premium materials like breathable Italian velvet on the mesh and the solid aluminum frame make it worth it. It’s highly adjustable, too—sometimes too much for its own good.

The Sihoo Doro S300 comes equipped with ergonomic materials and is built for comfort while looking luxurious. It might not be the best value-for-money offering, but in my experience, it’s one of the most comfortable office chairs I’ve used. If you prioritize premium materials and ergonomic design over budget, the Sihoo Doro S300 is a solid choice.
