Swedish wealth management company Söderberg & Partners has invested in four independent financial adviser (IFA) businesses, deepening its foothold in the UK.

The acquired businesses are Nottingham-based George Square, Cheltenham IFA, London-based boutique Bluezone Capital, and Alexander Bates Campbell (ABC), based in the south-east of England.

Söderberg & Partners CEO Gustaf Rentzhog said: “The UK advice market is a top strategic priority for us and we have identified numerous attractive businesses here in our search for new investment opportunities.”

George Square manages £400m ($520.5m) in client assets and employs a team of 20, including ten advisers. The company has advisers in London, Sheffield, and Newark.

George Square managing director George Goward said: “With the UK market facing increasing challenges, the partnership is designed to strengthen George Square’s capabilities. Söderberg & Partners will support us in streamlining operations, enhancing efficiencies, and through providing back-office support, enabling the firm to continue its upward growth trajectory at an accelerated pace.”

Cheltenham, England’s Cheltenham IFA manages £290m in client funds.

The business is known for its wealth management services and has a staff strength of 13.

Cheltenham IFA director and independent financial adviser Mark Stanley said: “The partnership will allow us to accelerate growth through further business acquisitions whilst using enhanced technology to improve both our efficiency and our client proposition.”

Bluezone Capital, with over £90m in assets under management (AUM), serves approximately 800 family units with wealth management, mortgages, and protection services.

Catering to customers across the UK and Europe, ABC manages £140m in private client assets and offers a range of services, including employee benefits and HR solutions.

The latest expansion follows Söderberg & Partners’ capital injection from minority owners KKR and TA Associates.

“Swedish wealth manager Söderberg invests in four UK IFAs” was originally created and published by Private Banker International, a GlobalData owned brand.
