In case you missed Tuesday’s NYT Mini Crossword puzzle, you can find the answers here:
Welcome back, crosswordians! It’s another lovely winter Wednesday and we have a crossword puzzle to solve, so let’s get right to it!
The NYT Mini is a smaller, quicker, more digestible, bite-sized version of the larger and more challenging NYT Crossword, and unlike its larger sibling, it’s free-to-play without a subscription to The New York Times. You can play it on the web or the app, though you’ll need the app to tackle the archive.
Answers to today’s Mini Crossword below . . . .
Spoilers ahead!
ACROSS
1- Material made by melting sand — GLASS
6- It’s to your left when facing the sunrise — NORTH
7- One in a cast — ACTOR
8- Say “This isn’t fair!,” say — ACTOR
9- Look for — SEEK
DOWN
1- Chew like a beaver — GNAW
2- Scottish bodies of water — LOCHS
3- “The Sopranos” restauranteur — ARTIE
4- Object slid across a curling rink — STONE
5- He tells Donkey “Ogres are like onions” — SHREK
This was a bit of a tricky Mini, though I pretty quickly got the first couple of ACROSS words—GLASS and NORTH. I guessed WHINE next and then went for some DOWNs. SHREK was simply enough, and from here everything fell into place…in 1:14.
