Tribit has been making affordable Bluetooth speakers for several years, challenging the likes of JBL and other well-known audio brands with some impressive portable Bluetooth speakers. Today Tribit has announced the launch of its new StormBox Lava speaker.

Designed to provide immersive sound that can be played almost anywhere, the StormBox Lava features a rugged build quality and has been engineered to deliver extra bass with 360-degree sound dispersion and high-fidelity acoustics.

Aimed at home users, outdoor adventurers and partygoers, the new Lava Speaker has dual 30W neodymium magnet woofers and two 10W silk dome tweeters. The total power output is 80W and, according to Tribit, the StormBox Lava offers “deep bass, crisp highs and rich mid-tones.”

The StormBox Lava features Tribit’s exclusive XBass technology for an extra-deep bass response down as low as 43Hz, providing the sort of low-end grunt that adds real depth and intensity to music.

As well as being a Bluetooth speaker, the StormBox Lava can also function as an all-in-one entertainment hub. With Party Mode, users can sync up to 160 StormBox Lava speakers for an immersive surround sound experience with larger gatherings.

As well as Par†y Mode, the StormBox Lava has a hands-free calling feature that lets users take phone calls without interrupting the music. Reverse battery charging means the StormBox Lava can function as a power bank, keeping devices like smartphones charged when on the go. Customizable EQ settings let users fine-tune the tone of the speaker for a more personalized listening experience.

With an IPX7 rating, the Tribit StormBox Lava can withstand splashes, rain and poolside parties, making it durable enough for a range of situations without worrying about water damage, making it suitable for outdoor use.

Six rechargeable batteries inside the StormBox Lava use Tribit’s patented RunStretch technology, The batteries can provide up to 24 hours of uninterrupted playtime from a full charge, which should be long enough for even the most energetic of party animals.

At the heart of this new speaker is a Texas Instruments amplifier chip and support for Bluetooth 5.4, providing a stable and instant connection with smartphones, tablets and other Bluetooth-enabled devices.

To ensure the speaker is easy to carry, it comes with a shoulder strap and detachable handle. There are dual straps with different lengths for easy portability. The speaker’s cabinet measures 310 x 147 x152mm and weighs in at 2.3kg, which seems manageable for a speaker that provides up to 24 hours of battery life.
