Agents will enable the delivery of autonomous, self-healing networks capable of detecting and fixing technical problems, optimizing network performance in real-time, and automating customer services. For example, Eriksson is developing autonomous agentic apps capable of real-time anomaly detection in radio access networks (RANs). With the market for agentic AI in telecoms predicted to soar from $3.75 billion to close to $12 billion by 2030, the next 12 months will see this next-gen AI technology breaking into commercial operations in a big way.
