The 2025 WWE Royal Rumble featured just four matches, but there was no shortage of huge moments.

The night’s biggest winners were Charlotte Flair, who won the Women’s Royal Rumble, DIY, who retained the Tag Team Championship, Cody Rhodes, who defended the WWE Championship, and Jey Uso, who shocked the world by winning the Men’s Royal Rumble.

Here’s a breakdown of all four matches.

Women’s Royal Rumble Results

Charlotte Flair entered the Women’s Royal Rumble at No. 27 and secured the victory, punching her ticket to main event WrestleMania 41. She eliminated Michin, Piper Niven, Nia Jax, and Roxanne Perez to seal the win.

Some fans weren’t thrilled with Flair winning in her first appearance since returning from a knee injury, but it’s tough to argue that another competitor was a more logical choice.

Jax is coming off a title run and a Queen of the Ring victory. Lyra Valkyria and Chelsea Green recently won titles and still need time to establish their reigns. Perez is not yet a full-time main roster talent, Bayley won last year, and Alexa Bliss, who returned during the match, isn’t currently involved in a major storyline.

Meanwhile, Bianca Belair is likely to be tied up in a rivalry with Jade Cargill when she returns.

Naomi was one of the few viable alternatives, but outside of her, the options were slim.

As for who Charlotte will challenge, the obvious pick would be Rhea Ripley, setting up a potential revenge story.

DIY Retains Tag-Team Titles, Thanks to Street Profits

The DIY vs. Motor City Machine Guns match was a thrilling contest.

After losing the first fall in the best two-out-of-three falls match, MCMG rallied back to even the score.

As they seemed poised to secure the third and final fall, the Street Profits interfered. Montez Ford provided a distraction, while Angelo Dawkins used a crutch to take out Alex Shelley, leading to DIY securing the pin.

Despite their victory, DIY was attacked by the Street Profits immediately after the match.

The best part of this finish is that it sets up an intriguing tag-team storyline with multiple layers, creating more depth in the division.

Cody Rhodes Retains the WWE Championship

This match was one of the most brutal WWE has seen in years. With insane spots and brutal bumps, it was difficult to keep track of everything.

One of the scariest moments came when Rhodes delivered an Alabama Slam from the top of the announcer’s table through a propped ladder, completely folding Kevin Owens in the process.

Take a look:

There was a brief pause after this moment, leaving many wondering if Owens was seriously injured. Regardless, Rhodes went on to retrieve the belt, retaining his championship in an incredible ladder match.
