Rival carrier T-Mobile piled on as Verizon struggled through a massive nationwide outage on Wednesday, telling customers its own network was operating normally while pointing the finger at its battered competitor.

“T-Mobile’s network is keeping our customers connected, and we’ve confirmed that our network is operating normally and as expected. However due to Verizon’s reported outage, our customers may not be able to reach someone with Verizon service at this time,” the company posted on X as Verizon’s network melted down.

Verizon was struck by a massive nationwide outage on Wednesday, sparking mass chaos among its users.

Verizon customers, meanwhile, flooded Downdetector with angry complaints describing hours-long outages that left phones stuck in SOS mode, calls failing to connect and mobile data completely dead.

“I have been in and out of SOS mode for 3 hours now…my family was all fine but now they are getting outages/SOS mode too,” one Maryland customer wrote.

Another frustrated Verizon subscriber in Mobile, Ala., blasted the carrier, saying the outage was “getting ridiculous” and vowing to switch providers.

Others reported total blackouts across wide swaths of the country.

“Down in Dallas TX. Almost 2 hours now. Ugh!!!!” one user posted, while another in Waco, Texas, summed it up more bluntly: “Waco TX down.”

Some customers said service teased a comeback before crashing again.

“Still down (2 hrs now). Came on for a few mins and then back to SOS,” a user in Chesapeake, Va., wrote, as another in Southern New Hampshire complained their phone was “going in and out of SOS every few mins” without allowing calls.

Downdetector was flooded with nearly 200,000 complaints after the company’s service went dark.

The outage wasn’t limited to a single region.

Users reported problems in Florida, Tennessee, North Carolina, Arkansas, Maine, New Jersey and Colorado, with one South Texas customer noting, “My AT&T mobile is working fine,” as Verizon remained offline.

At its peak, the disruption triggered more than 175,000 outage reports nationwide on Downdetector and prompted emergency alerts in New York City and Washington, DC, warning that some Verizon customers were having trouble reaching 911.

Verizon acknowledged the ongoing chaos but offered little clarity.

T-Mobile seized the opportunity to assure its own users that their service was operating normally.

“Verizon engineering teams are continuing to address today’s service interruptions,” a company rep told The Post.

“Our teams remain fully deployed and are focused on the issue. We understand the impact this has on your day and remain committed to resolving this as quickly as possible.”

Scattered reports suggested service was beginning to return for some — while many others were still waiting.
