AEW-NJPW Forbidden Door 2026 Match Card, Start Time, Streaming Info

As has become tradition, AEW will join forces with New Japan Pro-Wrestling to present Forbidden Door. This year’s event will also feature CMLL and Stardom, bringing together an even deeper pool of talent from across the wrestling world. The show takes place on Sunday, June 28, at the SAP Center in San Jose, California.

The Men’s and Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament Finals will headline Forbidden Door. Mercedes Mone and Maya World will battle for the opportunity to challenge for the AEW Women’s World Championship at All In, where Thekla could be waiting should she remain champion through the summer.

The other final will see Swerve Strickland and Will Ospreay renew their rivalry from Forbidden Door 2024, this time with an AEW World Championship match at Wembley Stadium on the line.

Multi-person matches have also become a staple of AEW, and that trend will continue with a 12-man steel cage match pitting a team assembled by Mark Briscoe against MJF’s group. A victory for the longtime Ring of Honor star would firmly place him in the conversation for an AEW World Championship opportunity, whether at Redemption in July or on a future episode of Dynamite.

Adam Copeland and Christian Cage will also defend the AEW World Tag Team Championship, which they captured at Double or Nothing, against Clark Connors and David Finlay of the Dogs. While a title change ahead of All In would come as a surprise, the match still represents the biggest opportunity yet for Connors and Finlay since arriving in AEW earlier this year.
