What Is The UFC 330 Main Event?

Makhachev is still the pound-for-pound No. 1 fighter in the world and that concept was made even clearer after both Ilia Topuria and Alex Pereira were upset at UFC Freedom 250. Garry has just one loss and it came to Shavkat Rakhmonov. This is the 170-pound title fight that makes the most sense.

Makhachev hasn’t lost since 2015 and arrives 28-1 after taking the welterweight belt from Jack Della Maddalena at UFC 322 last November. The move up from lightweight removed a brutal weight cut without visibly costing him speed or cardio.

Garry is 17-1 and brings the kind of length, movement and confidence that can trouble even an elite grappler. Still, both Topuria and Pereira just showed at Freedom 250 how quickly a reign can end, falling to Justin Gaethje and Ciryl Gane.

Who Is Fighting In The UFC 330 Co-Main Event?

Dern’s reign as the strawweight champion will get its first test from veteran submission specialist, Robertson. This is a battle between elite grapplers, which means the fight could be decided on the feet.

Dern won the vacant title at UFC 321 last October and makes her first defense here, leaning on world-class jiu-jitsu and much-improved striking. Robertson has quietly become one of the division’s busiest finishers, making this a high-level grappling clash with real stakes at 115 pounds.

What Else Is On The UFC 330 Card?

According to Tapology, Esteban Ribovics vs. Edson Barboza and Tresean Gore vs. Vicente Luque is set for the card as well.

Barboza carries a built-in Philly tie, having last fought in the city in 2019, and now meets the pressure-heavy Ribovics at lightweight. At middleweight, Luque faces Gore in a matchup with finishing potential on both sides.

Why Is UFC 330 A Big Deal For Philadelphia?

Anytime the UFC ventures outside of the T-Mobile Arena for a numbered live event — and heads to one of the major cities in the United States — it’s a big deal.

This one carries extra weight as the city’s first numbered card and first title fights since UFC 133 in 2011. Coming off a blockbuster White House card, the promotion is leaning hard into marquee, market-driven events, and the show streams on Paramount+ as part of its post-pay-per-view era.
