Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” is the most successful song in America of 2026. It almost doesn’t matter how one measures its performance, as the track stands out as a historic hit. It is one of the longest-running No. 1s in the history of the Digital Song Sales chart, one of the biggest smashes on Billboard’s country-specific rankings, a constant champion on the Billboard Hot 100 and a streaming sensation.

Months after its release, “Choosin’ Texas” holds atop several lists in the U.S., and it is now counted as one of the longer-running blockbusters on many of the tallies it inhabits. That includes the Streaming Songs chart, a non-genre-specific rundown of the most-played cuts on platforms like Spotify and Apple Music in America. This frame, “Choosin’ Texas” holds in first place yet again and ties several of the most popular tunes of the past decade and a half.

“Choosin’ Texas” Spends a Thirteenth Week at No. 1

“Choosin’ Texas” is a non-mover at No. 1 on the Streaming Songs chart. It has now spent a lucky 13 frames in charge of one of Billboard’s busiest and most competitive rankings out of 37 turns somewhere on the tally.

“Choosin’ Texas” Joins the Longest-Running Streaming Leaders

“Choosin’ Texas” is now tied as the seventh-longest-running No. 1 of all time on the Streaming Songs chart. Only 11 tracks have occupied the top space for 13 frames or more.

Langley’s smash is now on the same level as “Wrecking Ball” by Miley Cyrus, “Fancy” by Iggy Azalea and Charli XCX, “The Box” by Roddy Ricch and “We Don’t Talk About Bruno.” That latter cut from the animated film Encanto is officially credited to seven musical acts – Carolina Gaitán, Mauro Castillo, Adassa, Rhenzy Feliz, Diane Guerrero, Stephanie Beatriz, and the Encanto cast.

“Choosin’ Texas” Passes “Uptown Funk” and “Closer”

Last frame, “Choosin’ Texas” was on the same level as both “Uptown Funk” by Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars and “Closer” from electronic dance production duo the Chainsmokers and pop singer Halsey. Those cuts held the top spot on the Streaming Songs ranking for a dozen periods in 2015 and 2016, respectively.

Ella Langley Has Scored Five Streaming Top 10s

Langley has only reached No. 1 on the Streaming Songs chart with “Choosin’ Texas,” but she has come close to doubling that total on multiple occasions. “Be Her,” the second single from Dandelion, peaked at No. 2 behind “Choosin’ Texas.” “I Can’t Love You Anymore,” a collaboration with Morgan Wallen, topped out at No. 3, as it was also blocked by Langley’s other hits. Nine tracks by Langley have appeared on the Streaming Songs chart, and five have cracked the top 10.

“Choosin’ Texas” Rules Five Billboard Charts

This week, “Choosin’ Texas” lives on 11 Billboard charts. It holds at No. 1 on five of them, including not only the Streaming Songs tally, but also the Country Streaming Songs ranking. As of this period, “Choosin’ Texas” has lived in that space on the country version of the Streaming Songs register for 26 weeks — exactly half a year. Langley has scored eight top 10s on the country-specific tally, but none have come close to matching the success of her current winner.

“Choosin’ Texas” Makes Digital Sales History

As “Choosin’ Texas” dominates the Digital Song Sales chart, it also makes history with 11 weeks at No. 1. It is one of only 10 compositions to occupy that space for that length of time – or longer. “Choosin’ Texas” ties “Happy” by Pharrell Williams, which stepped aside after 11 moments in the spotlight, though Langley’s cut might not be done running the show.

“Choosin’ Texas” Rules the Hot 100 for a Twelfth Week

On the Billboard Hot 100, the most competitive songs chart in America, “Choosin’ Texas” also remains in first place. It has now ruled for an even dozen periods, becoming one of only a handful of cuts by women to dominate for so long. The smash will almost certainly add to that sum in a few days when Billboard refreshes its rosters.
