Financial firm Moisand Fitzgerald Tamayo honored by two publications

USA TODAY has named Moisand Fitzgerald Tamayo LLC to its list of America’s Best Financial Advisory Firms.

Also, for the fifth time since 2019, it was named one of the 75 Best Places to Work for Financial Advisors in the United States by Investment News.

“We’re completely independent and a 100% locally owned organization, which allows us to focus on doing great work for clients and creating a truly special work environment,” said Dan Moisand, firm principal, certified financial planner and FLORIDA TODAY columnist. “Every day, I get to work with wonderful clients and a fantastic team. To have national publications such as USA TODAY and Investment News recognize our efforts is very gratifying,”   The USA TODAY ranking was compiled in partnership with independent research group Statista, and is based on growth and the number of recommendations from clients and peers.  According to Investment News, the publication that named Moisand Fitzgerald Tamayo a Best Place to Work again, “leading firms are innovating to create productive work environments with learning and team-based cultures. And they offer advisors opportunities to advance and shape their careers as they see fit, whether it’s through restructured career pathways, educational support programs or succession planning initiatives.”

The annual list of top firms is compiled by Best Companies Group through anonymous online employee surveys and information from the employers about their compensation, benefits and workplace policies.

DJ Hunt

DJ Hunt, a Satellite Beach resident and chairman of the firm’s investment committee, said: “Our planning-first approach means we have deep insight into our client’s entire financial lives, not just their investment portfolio.”

“Our staff wants to make a meaningful difference for our clients, not be salespeople,” said Hunt, a certified financial planner. “This attitude is foundational to our firm’s culture, and helps us attract the best talent to serve our clients. When I joined MFT in 2020, I was employee No. 15. In the last few weeks, we just added No. 27. Of course, we offer industry-leading benefits and compensation, but our client-first attitude is what separates our firm and makes it the place where people with a ‘How can I help?’ mentality want to work.” For more information on the firm, go to www.moisandfitzgerald.com
