Harry Kane is starting to doubt his future at Bayern Munich and wants to hear what FC Barcelona have to offer him according to SPORT and the Daily Mail, citing anonymous sources.

The English paper reported that there was contact between the Catalans and the striker’s camp at the weekend. On Saturday, Kane scored against Panama in a 2-0 win to set up a last 32 meeting with DR Congo at the 2026 World Cup.

Initial reports explained that Kane is happy in Bavaria. His contract expires in mid-2027 meaning that he enters the last 12 months of his contract today, on June 30. Yet there’s been a feeling that Kane wants to renew, even though he would like that to be until 2030 while Bayern prefers 2029.

According to SPORT, though, Barça’s contact has started to trigger doubts in Kane’s mind and those of his camp.

They would love to have the chance to play in La Liga, and see Kane star in a project that has a reasonable chance of winning the Champions League.

Kane reached the semi-finals with Bayern last term, but it was beaten by eventual winner Paris Saint-Germain led by Barça legend Luis Enrique.

Kane wants to play with Lamine Yamal at Barcelona

The prospect of doing that reportedly “seduces” Kane. With his world class link-up play uncommon for a marksman with such a high return of goals, and Lamine Yamal’s dribbling into the box, a partnership between the Englishman and Spaniard would bring a gluttony of goals to the Spotify Camp Nou.

Kane wants to listen to Barça if it goes “100% in for him”. Though at the moment, he’s taking time to reflect and concentrate on the World Cup, after which he will make his mind up on the future.

There’s always been interest from Catalonia in Kane, but it’s now intensified at a time when Barça has bid farewell to Robert Lewandowski and needs a new striker.

Lewandowski has been officially announced by the Chicago Fire as their marquee signing this summer.

Four years ago, however, it was Barça that raised eyebrows by paying Bayern $57 million (€50 million) for a player closing in on his 34th birthday.

What followed were 120 goals and three La Liga titles for the Pole, who leaves the Blaugrana as a modern day club legend adored by Culers.

This formula provides the blueprint for what could happen with Kane. Like Lewandowski, he is a model professional at 32 who has always taken care of his body.

Last season, with 61 goals and seven assists as Europe’s Golden Boot winner, he has proven to still be at the peak of his powers.

While he wouldn’t be as cheap to Barça as ‘Lewy’ was back in 2022, Kane would still cost less than the $171 million (€150 million) quoted by Atletico Madrid for Julian Alvarez, who has reportedly agreed a five-year deal with Hansi Flick’s men.

Kane would be even cheaper than usual to Barcelona considering he’s now in the last 12 months of his contract. Simultaneously, Alvarez’s price can also come down in the future as he clearly doesn’t wish to continue at the Metropolitano.
