For the Devil Wears Prada 2 soundtrack, Lady Gaga wrote and recorded three new songs. The first of that trio, “Runway,” was selected as the album’s lead single, and it was released shortly before the film became a box office smash. “Runway” saw Gaga team up with hip-hop superstar Doechii, and the two turned it into a proper hit on multiple Billboard charts.
Shortly after the release of the fashion-forward film’s soundtrack, one of the other two tracks, “Shape of a Woman,” debuts on multiple rankings in the United States, and it even earns Gaga another top 10 smash.

“Shape of a Woman” Matches “Paparazzi” and “911”
As “Shape of a Woman” begins its time on the Dance Digital Song Sales tally at No. 5, it ties with two previous hits by Gaga that similarly stalled in fifth place. “Paparazzi,” featured on her debut album The Fame, and “911,” a single from her dance-pop project Chromatica, also lifted as high as No. 5.
Lady Gaga Doubles Up With “Runway”
Gaga claims two wins on this week’s Dance Digital Song Sales chart, and both of her hits appear within the top five. As “Shape of a Woman” opens at No. 5, “Runway” rises one space from No. 3 to No. 2.
Only “Bring Your Love,” the highly anticipated collaboration between Madonna and Sabrina Carpenter, keeps Gaga and Doechii from returning to the summit. “Bring Your Love” debuted at No. 9 last time around, and after its first full tracking frame of availability, the Confessions II single leaps into first place. “Runway” quickly worked its way to No. 1 just a week after debuting, and has been selling well ever since.
“Shape of a Woman” Also Hits the Main Sales Tally
“Shape of a Woman” also appears on the Digital Song Sales chart, a less specific version of the Dance Digital Song Sales tally. Thanks to a little under 1,900 purchases (per Luminate), “Shape of a Woman” opens at No. 14, earning Gaga her forty-seventh career bestseller.
“Shape of a Woman” is the fifth-highest-ranking debut on the tally this time around. It comes in beneath new releases by Nick Jonas, the aforementioned “Bring Your Love,” Forrest Frank and “Go” by the Chemical Brothers, which has recently gone viral and become a sudden and unexpected bestseller.
