The next swathe of flagship iPhones will be unveiled in a little under eight months, it’s thought — though the iPhone 17e could be announced a month from now. A new report claims to have the inside knowledge and comprehensive details of the hardware.

Analyst Jeff Pu from GF Securities has revealed screen sizes, processor details, camera resolutions and more about three phones: iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max and Apple’s first folder, possibly called the iPhone Fold.

If you’ve noticed that one phone is missing, you’re right: the latest intel is that the basic model, the iPhone 18, will be held over until spring 2027 to be released alongside the iPhone 18e.

iPhone 18 Pro And Pro Max: Screen, Camera And Chip Details

Some things in the new range look familiar, such as the screen sizes for the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max which, at 6.3 inches and 6.9 inches will be the same as the current 17 Pro and Pro Max, it’s claimed. Similarly, the case will be aluminum, as now and the cameras will be the same, that is, three rear 48-megapixel sensors and one front 18-megapixel snapper and both phones will have 12GB of RAM.

But there’s plenty that’s new, Pu claimed. The processor will be the A20 Pro, the Dynamic Island will be smaller and the modem will be Apple’s newest in-house model, the C2.

iPhone Fold: What Apple’s First Folding Phone Could Look Like

Everything about the company’s first folding phone will be new, by definition, though it will have a lot in common with the two Pro models. The front-facing camera, 12GB RAM, A20 Pro chip and Apple C2 modem will match the 18 Pro.

But there’ll be no Dynamic Island as the iPhone Fold is thought to opt for Touch ID instead, like the iPad Air, for instance.

There are two other big changes: the screen will have an external 5.3-inch display while the internal screen will fold out to measure 7.8 inches — just a fraction less than the original iPad mini, and possibly in the same screen ratio, which will give rise to a much wider phone than previous iPhones.

Finally, the case will be made from a combination of titanium and aluminum.

More news as it appears.
