Oasis will forever rank among the most successful bands in the history of the United Kingdom. While the group developed a sizable fan base in the United States, the rockers were never quite as commercially dominant in America as in their homeland, where they scored enormous wins throughout the 1990s and early 2000s and released several of the bestselling albums of all time.
After a contentious split, Oasis reunited in 2025 for the Oasis Live ’25 Tour. The three-dozen-show venture brought in more than $400 million and reminded the world how many huge tracks the band has produced. “Wonderwall,” perhaps its signature hit, is surging again after fans sang it to the English soccer team, which recently finished third in the World Cup. The classic returns to multiple Billboard charts this week, establishing new peak positions on a few rosters at the same time – and it even gives Oasis its first No. 1 on one ranking.
Oasis Debuts at No. 1 on the Rock Streaming Chart
“Wonderwall” launches in first place on the Rock Streaming Songs chart. The roster tracks the rock-only cuts that collect the most plays on platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, and several other popular streaming options in the nation.
The smash becomes the first song by Oasis to appear on the ranking, and the band immediately begins its run with a champion. The Rock Streaming Songs chart did not exist during the group’s commercial heyday, so even the act’s biggest American hits never had an opportunity to compete when they were new.
Oasis Scores Its First All-Genre Streaming Hit
Oasis also earns its first career placement on the Streaming Songs chart, the broader counterpart to Rock Streaming Songs ranking. The former tally is built with the same type of activity, but includes music from every genre, rather than limiting eligibility to rock.
“Wonderwall” begins its time on the all-style roster at No. 18. The song claims the third-highest debut of the frame, trailing two songs from Future’s album The Real Me. “California Girls” and “Fukk a Interview” open at Nos. 13 and 16, respectively.
Five additional Future tracks also arrive on the Streaming Songs ranking, along with new entries by Noah Kahan and Stella Lefty with Vincent Mason.
Oasis Returns to Four American Charts
“Wonderwall” only debuts on the two streaming rankings, but it returns to several additional Billboard lists. The song becomes a top 30 hit in America again as it reenters the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 27. It previously climbed as high as No. 8 and has now spent 21 weeks throughout the years on the 100-position tally, the most competitive for songs in the country.
The single also finds its way back to the Digital Song Sales chart, where it reaches a new peak of No. 13. “Wonderwall” returns in even more impressive positions on the Alternative Streaming Songs and Hot Alternative Songs rosters. On the former, it’s back at No. 3, while on the latter, Oasis scores its first top 10 win as the smash single reenters at No. 6.
Oasis Earns Its First Global Top 10s
“Wonderwall” simultaneously pushes into the top 10 on both of Billboard’s worldwide songs charts for the first time, and so, too does Oasis. The former single rockets from No. 26 to No. 4 on the Billboard Global 200, which reflects sales and streams collected throughout the world.
The song manages an almost identical improvement on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S., which removes all American consumption from its calculations. “Wonderwall” surges from No. 21 to No. 4 on that ranking as well.
Oasis Reaches New Peaks on Two Rock Charts
“Wonderwall” flies – but has no need to return to – another pair of genre rankings in America. The catchy cut jumps into the top 10 on the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart for the first time as it leaps from No. 18 to No. 6. It sits even higher on the Hot Rock Songs roster, where it pushes to No. 4.
