Headphone and IEM maker SIVGA has announced the launch of a brand-new pair of hybrid in-ear monitors featuring four drivers in each earpiece. The SIVGA Lyrebird are premium hybrid IEMs designed for listeners who want to hear all the details in a piece of music.
Combining four dedicated driver technologies, the Lyrebird IEMs have wooden faceplates and are made using premium materials for a high-end listening experience but with a genuinely accessible price.
The Lyrebird IEMs have been developed around a sophisticated quad-driver hybrid configuration. Each driver has been chosen to reproduce a specific part of the frequency range for a more cohesive and natural sound that’s easy to listen to.
Dynamic Polymer Driver
Firstly, a 10mm polymer composite dynamic driver was chosen to produce a deep and controlled bass tuned for warmth and impact. Secondly, a dedicated balanced armature driver has been used to reproduce vocals with clarity and detail. Thirdly, a micro-planar driver was selected to bring a smooth treble extension to the overall sound. Finally, a 9.2mm multilayer piezoelectric ceramic driver was used to reproduce the high-frequency nuances for greater openness and realism.
Working seamlessly together, the four drivers were selected to create an expansive soundstage that achieves a balance across the entire frequency range, allowing all instruments and vocals to occupy their own space within the music.
Premium Materials
Each IEM housing features a handcrafted and stabilized wooden faceplate with a natural grain pattern that’s unique to every pair. A specialized resin treatment enhances the appearance of the wood while also improving its durability, helping reduce unwanted resonance and contributing to the Lyrebird’s clean sound signature.
The wooden faceplates are paired with CNC aviation-grade aluminum alloy housings for a durable design and a premium feel. The lightweight and ergonomic fit was designed to provide lasting comfort when listening at home, commuting or enjoying extended listening sessions.
Included with the Lyrebird is a premium hybrid cable combining Furukawa OFC, silver-plated copper and gold-plated silver-copper conductors. SIVGA claims the cable has been designed to preserve the detail and character of recordings while delivering a smooth, engaging presentation.
The cable has detachable 0.78mm 2-pin connectors so users can easily upgrade or replace the cables. The 4.4mm balanced termination provides improved channel separation, lower background noise, plus enhanced dynamics when paired with compatible audio equipment.
Completing the package is a Crazy Horse leather carry case and a selection of silicone ear tips, ensuring the Lyrebird can deliver high-end sound straight out of the box. SIVGA says the new Lyrebird IEMs have been designed to bring listeners closer to their music by combining craftsmanship with acoustic engineering in a pair of IEMs that look and sound good.
Pricing and Availability:
The SIVGA Lyrebird will be available from 15th July for £149 / $149 / €167 via the official SIVGA online store, Amazon and selected retailers.
