The Devil Wears Prada 2, starring Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci, arrives on Hulu on Disney+ this week, just after the film wrapped up its blockbuster run at the box office.

Written and directed by David Frankel — the filmmaker behind the 2006 original — The Devil Wears Prada 2 opened in theaters on May 1 before pivoting to digital streaming via premium video on demand on June 30. In the film, Hathaway reprises her role as Andy Sachs, a successful newspaper journalist who, along with her colleagues, is fired en masse as part of the havoc digital media is wreaking on the print industry.

Surprisingly, Andy is offered a chance to return to Miranda Priestley’s (Streep) Runway magazine, which needs a spark since the glossy publication is also vulnerable to going under. One solution to saving the publication lies with Miranda’s former assistant-turned-rival Emily (Emily Blunt), who is a senior executive with Dior with a wealthy boyfriend (Justin Theroux).

Rated PG-13, The Devil Wears Prada 2 ended its domestic theatrical run on July 23 with $220.5 million. Coupled with the film’s international ticket sales of nearly $469.8 million, The Devil Wears Prada 2 has earned $690.3 million worldwide against a $100 million production budget before marketing expenses.
