So where is it? Where’s the third trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6? It hasn’t released yet, but I believe there’s a big reason why that piece of the puzzle still hasn’t been displayed.
Let’s talk video games.

When Will GTA 6 Trailer 3 Be Released?
There’s no official date from Rockstar. Many of us were expecting it on June 25. Now the projections seem to point to late July to mid-August.

It’s already been more than 13 months since the second trailer dropped, but we’ve been expecting a huge ramp-up this summer. The summer is only a week old, so it stands to reason trailer 3 is coming relatively soon.
Why Did Rockstar Hold GTA 6 Trailer 3 Back?
Rockstar didn’t waste a bullet. Expectations were so high for this game to drop that the opening of pre-orders was already going to result in a surge. Quite frankly, a trailer wasn’t needed.
Rockstar can duplicate or convert any holdovers with the third trailer — especially if it is an extended look at the story and other aspects of the game.
While speculation on GTA 6 is rampant, there’s still so much we don’t know. Plugging some of those gaps with the third trailer would generate another sales explosion.
What Will GTA 6 Trailer 3 Show?
Bet on a story-heavy look. It’ll likely focus on Lucia, Jason and some of the other key figures in the game. A mini biography of each character would be especially compelling.
We might get a glimpse of the HUD and some voiced scenes with a stronger focus on some of the locations that have been hyped in the new screenshots.
If Rockstar delivers more stunning visuals — which is almost a given — the third trailer will be worth the wait.
What Comes Next For GTA 6 Before Launch?
The launch is still set for November 19. That remains the most important and concrete date associated with GTA 6. The digital pre-load is on November 12. The pricing is locked at $79.99 for standard and $99.99 for the Ultimate edition.
What we don’t know is how the GTA 6 release and the launch of the third trailer will impact the rest of the gaming industry. We’ve already seen many publishers clearing out of GTA’s blast radius, shifting to September or into 2027.
If the third trailer drops with as much force as I anticipate, it could generate even more panic and excitement.
