A little more than a decade old, OMNIA Nightclub has long-established itself as one of the premiere after-dark destinations in all of Las Vegas. The 75,000 square foot, multi-level space attracts world famous DJs and guests and exists as a glistening jewel in the crown of Caesars Palace’s broad range of entertainment venues.
Earlier in the year that jewel grew significantly in size and scope to include the OMNIA Dayclub & Skybar. The idea was to bring the party outside and into the light, with a 46,000 square-feet alfresco add-on; a slice of European beach club located directly alongside the Strip. Adjoining the original nightclub, the two concepts combine to form a massive entertainment complex of unmatched scope–even by Vegas’s outsized standards.
And it’s already attracting marquee stars. Over the past two months, the Dayclub has welcomed the likes of Lebron and Savannah James, Wilmer Valderrama and Ashley Graham. Powerhouse DJs have included Armin Van Buuren, Rüfüs Du Sol, and Steve Aoki. Most recently, a special set from Zedd kicked off over the July 4th holiday weekend.
While you might expect a venue of this size to focus entirely on high-end bottle service and high-volume spirit and soda pours, it was actually constructed in a way where cocktail fans can enjoy ample attention while still feeling like part of the party. The second-level Skybar holds shaded lounge seating and tiered banquettes looking down on all of the action. Up here it’s not uncommon for guests to order bourbon drinks modified by Chambord, strawberry and ginger – the main stars of the Four Berry Buck. Or a Lavender Sour, built with its namesake flower, alongside ELYX Single Estate Vodka and an elegant Italian aperitif.
Even the frozen cocktails served at Skybar make use of more elegant base expressions. The Watermelon Margarita – a predictable favorite to beat back the Vegas heat – uses an award-winning tequila from Herradura. The Dragon Fruit Piña Colada leverages a limited edition rum bottling by Mount Gay.
Tao Group Hospitality, the restaurant and nightlife juggernaut behind OMNIA, brought in a special design team to tap into the allure of beach clubs from Mykonos and Ibiza. You observe it in the overall flow of the space: a refined social space that encourages engagement across multiple levels. And it’s there in the details, too: teakwood, polished emerald accents. Cabanas that evoke Mediterranean colorways.
When it comes to the live performances, however, all structures involved are undeniably modern. The main DJ booth is backdropped by an 8K LED screen. It’s bright enough to be seen in broad daylight, from a distance. Along with the state-of-the-art sound system at its core, this a place that’s capable of fusing festival vibes with beach like aesthetics – all in an otherwise lazy Vegas afternoon.
This unique formula is a main reason for the property’s instant success.
