There are many ways to get powerful Pals in Palworld, whether that’s condensing them for extra stars or a whole, whole lot of RNG breeding. But there is a more direct way to pump up your Pals, with damage, health, defense and work speed upgrades that go as high as 60% each.
Expeditions
- You should have an expedition running 100% of the time, and by the time you get to the last three towers, you are able to get 10+ Giant Pal Souls per run, depending on how far over the percent required line you go.
- Increasing that percent relies on using powerful Pals, either members of your core team you don’t need right now, or condensed Pals. You know how you have to catch 5 each for that XP bonus? Well, put four of those into your best #5 and that will really, really help, given that there are only the top 100 picked total. I’ve gotten hundreds of Giant Pal Souls from this. You will also get a ton of other valuable prizes from doing expeditions, like great Spheres in large quantities.
Salvaging
- The most “active” way to get Giant Pal Souls is to go salvaging, where you need to get the Powerful Fishing Magnet at level 62 to start surfing around areas at the bottom left of the map, picking up debris with the little minigame.
- A key to doubling each haul, so two Giant Pal Souls every time you get them, is the Pal Jellroy. When upgraded, he gives you 85% more stuff from salvaging, which effectively doubles everything. Two souls every time you land one every couple floating pieces of debris. This will not just get you Souls, but also materials like Skill handbooks for your Pals.
- Spend a little time doing this, and you can bring in a couple dozen at a time for barely any real effort, and certainly not roaming around landscapes to collect lesser souls to turn into larger ones.
It’s a significant investment once you get enough Giant Souls to max out a Pal. For my fighting teams, I do the first three but not Work Speed. For my base Pals, I only do Work Speed, on top of skill increases. 60% Work Speed plus 50% Artesian trait plus 10 work affinity, and you get the idea.
